I actually like the touch of the autotune at the end. I think its an interesting effect used to accent his "transending our holy makeup." normally I truly dislike this, especially artists whose whole careers are based on it. But, I think it works really well here.
I am not a fan of auto tune either but yes it is the producer adding a modern touch so that it's more accessible to the mass ear. This is a good thing, this message will do well in the ear of as many people as possible. The cool thing is, just having come seeing him 2 days in a row in concert - he doesn't use any effects. It's all pure, his voice is amazing in person!
