- Final Fantasy 7 VII Rebirth From Whence Life Flows Side Quest Walkthrough. For this you must find the Mako Frequency Locations.
Side Quest: From Whence Life Flows
Chapter: 10
Area: Cosmo Canyon - Cosmo Observatory
Quest Giver: Bugenhagen
Requirement: Complete the story events in Cosmo Canyon in Chapter 10, when you get main objective “The Wild, Blue Yonder”. Then check the Noticeboard in Cosmo Canyon village.
Reward: Fortunes Untold Vol. IV., Red XIII Relationship Strengthened, 10 Party EXP, Player EXP (scaled to your level)
Mission Info: It’s been entirely too long since I’ve done some old-fashioned fieldwork, and I’d like to correct that. Unfortunately, I seem to have misplaced my tools. Drop by and lend a hand, would you?

Cloud: "When did you start getting tired of side quests and world exploration?"
Zack: "Me? Gongaga!"
Yep can second that
😂😂😂😂😂
I agree, more of world discovering after Gongaga lead me to mad
Thanks powerpyx you've really taken the edge off. After gongaga i dont think I'll ever recover from thet navigational hell
Not to mention Johnny's quests
Yeah feels like each place felt a little harder to navigate. But it's all working out after unlocking teleports.
@@snowykitten6860gonna need serious help with those.
cosmo canyon is worse belive it or not
Maybe it's just me but anybody else annoyed that Nanaki doesn't call Bugenhagen "grandfather"? That really established how close they were in the OG FF7.
"Why is it an excellent comment?" - CZcams app algorithm
Because it's spot on! This, and the emotion exhibited to discovering Seto on the cliff left a lot to be desired for me in Rebirth's rendition. It was great, but..I felt the slow silence between dialogue boxes really drove it home back then.
Still enjoying this retelling though!
@@Hexaven word grandpa will be saved for something more significant in the 3rd installment. If you're og you know what I'm referring to.
Honestly struggled with this area more than any of the others. The clues get more n more crypticnhaha
2:37 part 1
4:10 part 2
5:41 part 3…
7:23 part 4 😑
9:40 PART 5!
It's this type of crap that take the fun out of the game
That and mini games overload
Thank you I've been 100 hours in game and had to come back to this trial. 2nd course I was lost man.
Thanks again for making these guides you saved me a lot of time 👍🏼👌🏼
Not a single missions, side quest and mini game is fun in this map.
*HO HO HO HEE HEE HEE* (Laughs in Bugenhagen's voice)
Although yes I agree, also the navigation is abysmal,it was the first region where I started using fast travel once I started unlocking travel points.
When I had to do the chocobo gliding minigame to finish the first side quest, I knew that I was not going to have a good time in this map
I liked the robot game
It’s content….i agree this doesn’t add anything to game
i really enjoyed the flying chocobo and star picture missions
Thank you so much you really helped me ❤
Thanks x1000 😊
Thanks. The 4th spot i dont find it without your help
Thank you!
when i tried doing the second the birds like penguins turned up and the life spring was destroyed was that supposed to happen are you doing it on easy mode because you staggered them so easy i was pounding the hell out of them in punisher mode and barret using bonus round and focused shot wasnt doing jake to them
edit
nevermind i redid it and just blasted them to pieces with blizzard since attacking wasnt working
when i got to the second barrier the enemies destroyed it and the lifespring but i just moved onto the third fourth and fifth and the story completed, got cait sith’s fortune book and 10sp at the end of it. thanks for showing the locations of the springs
So the barricade broke and the screen went black. Now the enemies are standing around and the gate is open but says "Can't Escape". Not in combat and can't hit the lizard men. Guess I'll have to come back later.
You are amazing
Yea thx for the help
Just note, if you let a gate be destroyed, it will affect your “Perfectly Executed Odd Jobs” for this side quest (the gold badge if you care about that sort of thing).
So I activated this quest, but Bugenhagen doesn't appear to open the door when I click on it. Is my game just bugged? 😊
I accidently let a gate get destroyed. Does that make any difference?
The dialogue and cutscenes all change depending on when you finish the fight and if the gate is still up. It's silly 😓
I guess my game is just bugged and I can’t complete this quest? When I go to the 4th location no dialogue happens and it just tells me the gate is locked no old man comes to open it for me 😢
Me too!!!
Same wtf
Thats the 5th gate i believe, i did the same thing
It took me a few min until I understood the map, if you look at the compass direction for NORTH you can see see that the map is flipped around, so when it shows north of the moogle house etc, its meant as south, dont know how I didnt pick up on it faster AND WHY IS THE MAP UPSIDE DOWN TO BEGIN WITH?!
So bull man, literally every other map is not upside down🤦🏽♂️
Same! I 100% lost tons of time looking at the south of his house (and accidentally found the 5th one). How are you supposed to know you should go at the north ?
Ugh thanks im too tired to figure it out even with this. I've never had such a strong love hate relationship with a video game I don't understand why they had to do this unless they're going to make it a masterpiece even still we should have access to a flying chicken and just not be able to go to deep Waters that's it there should be no gliding it should be like the gold chocobo minus the deep water I didn't play 120 hours to not earn it
Mechanics like this are clever but not fun. I enjoy difficulty, but this is just deliberate time wasting. If it's a riddle, then at least give the player an indication that they need to look at things from a different perspective. Everything in this game that involves map reading is a chore.
The last one doesn’t trigger a cutscene for me
have the same prob.
Releasing a working game for all is not a thing you get a penalty for doing anymore. They just patch up when enough people squeal on twitter or something. God i miss finished games!
@supersaiyanzero386 Your “finished games” weren’t as big as this game and some of them definitely did have game breaking bugs. Take your head out your bumhole and remove the rose tinted glasses gorilla glued to your temple.
I have to say the story in this side quest is really good I just wish it wasn't ruined by the weird map design I get what they were going for but it just didn't work out most people don't like it for one reason or the other
the first map they gave me was not at all at the correct place
Is the 4th map upside down
Yeah if you look at the compass on the note thing you can see North is down and south is up lol
quest bugged out for me, bugenhagen doesn't appear at frequency number 5
You actually might be on the wrong side of the door happened to me it was open or broken and I went through rested at the chocobo shop then went right back and it triggered
happened to me too. I don't know how to solve this... A message pop's up saying "The door is locked."
@@Nonlifting_breezy nope i'm at the right side, but even tried rebooting the game, doesn't work
@johnpaulvandame @Nonlifting_breezy LMAO i found my mistake, i accidently skippe number 4 hence why 5 didn't trigger
@@lebrunjemz687 yup idk why they even show you them
Over 7000…is a Dragonball reference?!? 😂
Terrible level design, can only reach specific spots using a specific route, these locations should be acccesible by more than one way, i guarantee you that they did not test this portion of the quests when they were making them
Imagine that you can only reach these locations via an exclusive route when you have a flying mount, a mount that flies but only by using specific jump off platforms, i had absolutely no sense of freedom playing this map as well as the gongaga map, i felt constricted as hell, i was exhausted from exploring because everything was a maze, and the minimap and map was the most boring and uninformative map interface out of all the open world games i have played recently, imagine a vertical plane but the map only shows vageuly one level, you would not know if the objective is above or below you from the map, only from an arrow up or arrow down from the minimap
They surely did test it and fully design it this way, you couldn't make something this intricate by accident. I'm not praising. Being lost as a main part of your level design is a terrible idea but the fact there's only one route and they're very intricate surely shows they tested and designed it that way.
It was a really bad level design for sure...feel the same when i was completing the Gagaga Region too...this stuff make the game become boring a lot.
Agreed. Gongaga and Cosmo felt too much like outdoor dungeons. Anything to do with vertical navigation was almost impossible, and there's no indication as to how the locations on the map relate to each other. I think it's these two regions that soured a lot of fans on the open world aspect of this game.
I hate this so much. Ty
