Hahahaha I thought I'd find this comment
I love that setup you got it all compacted in one small vehicle that can go off grid
not surprised to c a colorado plate on da jeep!! ✌😎
Cool set up
How convenient is this set up if you want to leave camping area go for a ride.
Thank you for making this video! It is helpful to see how people are using the jeep-ursa setup. Happy Travels:)
Tiny home?
A nice camper yes, but forever home, no thanks
But thanks for sharing!
Clever topper .. Wonder who will put that on a van
A R B NOT ARB.
Amazing😍
Hello, nice overland setup!. Did you have to beef up your rear suspension to accommodate to extra weight of your Ursa Minor? If not do you recommend modifying the JKU's suspension? Thanks in advance.
JP Knee
Nice
Do you have to worry about draining the battery with the tail gate open and back window...or it doesn't drain any power...?
Have you had any issues with the Jeep itself? Reliability etc.?
Hello! What's the name of this roof tent? I have been trying to find it for months but to no avail. Thanks!
What is the fold-out solar on the hood solution called? I read the notes and did some of my own online research and couldn't find that solution. Thank you.
Well...I watched the video again and I think that I've found the company: www.powerfilmsolar.com/products/foldable-solar-panels/ . I'm still curious which model this is that fits on your jeep hood so nicely. Also, I like the way that it plugs in to the front side of the jeep - is that part of this kit or was that custom?
Now where do you store the guns?
Did he say Arb Awning? A.R.B. awning...
Trasharoo doubles as a great Animal feeder too. Lol:)jk
Everytime I see those Ursa Minor tops it makes me wish I gotten a JK instead....
Seems like a great camping setup, but I don't think I would call it a tiny home as far as full time living. Anything that requires you sit outside all day is hardly a home. That's basically camping in a tent.
@Thedude 404 It's a nice set up and I can definitely see how you could travel and spend a week in there. I'm looking more for fulltime solutions with all the comforts of home, heat, AC, shower, toilet, washer and dryer?, storage, closet space, etc. Most likely would need land to stay on. As far as stealth camping, a tent would never work. Looks like a great camping setup. Beyond that, I'm not seeing it.
@Thedude 404 250k?
Ha.
How do u jump from a tent top to 250k?
@Thedude 404 You can by a house for half of that 250k including the lot.
I'm looking for cheap living options that have everything you need. During the crash of 2008,,you could buy a 10 year old mobile home sitting on 2 acres with all the extras for 25-30k all day long.
@Thedude 404 I looked at the video bc it was titled tiny home.
I guess we all define that differently. Would you consider living under a bridge a tiny home? Where do you want to draw the line? My dog has a tiny home out back? You want to live in a dog house? Just add solar. Everything you need right?
My wife and I have a Jeep with Ursa Minor top and full kitchen in the back. We lived in it for 2 months last fall, The Road Chose Me lived for 3 years in one circumnavigating Africa, Venture4WD has been youtubing full time from his for at least 3 years. It's not a traditional tiny home but people can and do live in Jeeps like this.
Also he says that with that little soft-sided cooler and it's their little fridge they can have 7 to 10 days worth of food- how is the 7 gallons of water enough especially in hundred degree heat and also if it's a hundred degree heat how come they're not using that 12-volt Outlet in their sleeping area for a fan and also why do they have such warm sleeping bags- also how do they bathe when they're out in the middle of nowhere unless there by water-etc - doesn't all add up- must be just a vacation vehicle obviously
He said 7-10 days worth of food, but he didn't say 7-10 days of water. I think he was just pointing out how much they can bring for food alone, with the fridge and bag. They would need a lot more water (14-20 gallons).
Why not just use a high end tent 🏕 on the ground that you can stand in?
Ground tents definitely have more space overall and are great if you’ll be in one spot for a bit. Rooftop tents and pop up campers like this are smaller for sure but are way faster to setup and break down, which is great if you’re planning on traveling to new campsites each day or if you have a multiple stops on your trip. Another plus for roof options is being off of the ground and out of reach of critters. It rains a lot where I am and camper options like this are appealing for their ability to get you up and out of the mud and rain to wait out a storm, but I still use ground tents in the summer
I have often wondered why people who wish to 'get away from it all' need to camp/live within 3 feet of each other..?? Is it their attraction to smoke and cooked food odors, wandering animals, body elimination smells...??? What IS IT, exactly..??
Not my idea of camping either. Get me away from people.
@@deethegardengirl I forgot to mention the cries of sexual passion (although I LOVE sexual passion, I also like privacy) and absurdly loud conversation while people are speaking to each other and/or trying to sound important while ON THE F'ing PHONE, as it rings and rings until they or messaging picks it up...!!! I could go on.. LOL! This country is socially bereft and lacking social graces.. Mind you, I have not ever camped like this because I KNOW how people are... Just pay attention as you walk the streets, drive a car or shop for something....
This was recorded at an event. It looks like the NW Overland Rally
Must of cost the same as a RV
4 door trucks aren’t jeeps
You did not zoom into the battery while he talks about the battery. You focus to much on the person.
Cybertruck is solution for future here.
Xddffff
This is living in a car. This is no tiny house!
