You want UV to go through it so it lasts longer. Use the greenhouse to dry your mushrooms in the summer. Sun dried mushrooms are good for vitamin d2. It has a massive dose. One microscopic sliver will do for the day. Chicken feed in the winter maybe?

Hey Greg, that is so bad about the corrugated plastic panels! I'm wondering, because I had white ones on the sides and ends of my carport when I lived up in VA that lasted over 8 years, if it's just the Solar Issues we are having. I'm in FL now so I would be spraying some of that spray on coating on the plastic as well as the poly. It's white when the sun shines but if it rains, it turns clear. I think one brand is called CoolShade???? It's not exactly a replacement for shadecloth but it does help keep the greenhouse cooler. And since you are using a very light shadecloth, it shouldn't cause you any problems.
That could help protect those panels. Also, you aren't using 4 year poly greenhouse film so that would allow more sun on the panels and then there's the issue of heat build up.
What were your daytime temps in there? If worse comes to worse, you could buy the polycarbonate panels but they are a bit brittle! You have to pre-drill all of the holes.

Could you please tell me the dimensions of your door framing and ends?
