In the 19th century, the Quakers ran "homes for the insane" where respect for the patients, peaceful surroundings in the country, and good nutritious food was the combination that worked. The recovery rate for their patients was about 50%. Dr. Liberman knows that schizophrenia is episodic, and that over time, 50% of patients recover naturally. Sadly, drug therapy alone produces less than a 10% recovery rate. A combination approach is therefore more successful. The Quakers had the right idea.

Hello, In the Christian Holy Bible, God tells us that there is an invisible war on Earth involving evil demonic spirits who can speak into our ears all manner of thoughts. Please listen to my story on CZcams at Hearing Voices: real help and understanding. Praying for you all, Carol

Thank you for sharing this. This is a major intuition about recovery that I have as well. The Quacker approach you described.

This psychiatrist is absolutely right when he says that schizophrenics can recover if they take their medication. I can truthfully say that if I hadn't persisted in taking my meds (large doses of vitamins B3 and C) I would probably still be needing the care of a psychiatrist.

A documented, drug tested/medication free recovery from paranoid schizophrenia is possible… but not without Christ. even for decades, even for the rest of their life. The majority of the population think you’re mentally ill if you believe in Christ… hmm, wonder why they don’t ever see anything miraculous? A mechanic wouldn’t fix their car if they stood behind him the whole time saying he can’t fix anything & doesn’t know what he’s doing. He would probably throw the wrench at him.

my brother has been schizophrenic since 18 and he is 55 now.
My daughter was diagnosed at 24 ish and is 30.
We don't see any signs of 'recovery'

Please try to find on the internet what food helps against schizophrenia, what vitamins they need, also an psychatrist that gives you meds against schyzoprhenia. Prayers and music aswell helps. Music i listened alot too with earphones to not hear the voices again. (but once the music was off i would hear the voices again) Music and try to make them concentrate on the music.

For me, there is no recovery as long as medication is involved, period.

Sure,if i can get a decent paying job in my country i would be able to be forced to live off mental disability pension,if the world would be fair,i would have the responsibility financially to pay a mortgage off my own work and support a wife with 2 kids, but then i remember i live in a 3rd world country with standards of 1st world country

NAMI isn’t all it’s cracked up to be per a professional friend who volunteered for classes who is a friend
This guy is overly optimistic given the fact that the schizophrenic is too sick to make right choices.
