The level of sportswomanship between the female gymnasts - all of them - is out of this world 🥰
Except mykayla s. ;)
Agreed…the support and love they were all showing for each other was heartwarming.
Absolutely! The European female boxers could take a few notes
Normal 🤔
I agree!
This is women power!
How fantastic!
Bravo! 🙏🙏🙏
The bowing to Rebecca was so beautiful! I watched all the women’s gymnastics and she was often edged out by less than a point. It made my heart smile the way Samone and Jordan. Nice job ladies.
Transparenta se vede in filmări.

I could listen to Simone all day...what an elegant speaker
I think the same. The woman could be a motivational speaker LOL
She is annoying as hell.
And THIS is why Simone is the GOAT. She not only pushes the sport athletically but reminds us time and time again what true sportsmanship is. I will forever be in awe of her 💕
The Goat??? She fell of the beam and stepped out during the Floor Excercise. Last Olympics she quit on her teammates.
She did not quit on her teammates. She protected herself from an increased potential for serious injury, while also providing alternate teammate(s) the opportunity to compete in more gymnastics events at that Olympics. She did the right thing, and smart thing, for both herself and team USA.
@@patkastler3793 you have no clue what you are talking about. You should really actually watch gymnastics before commenting. Almost everyone fell on beam today as well as the men's high bar. All the favorites fell. Andrade didn't fall on beam and still didn't make the podium. You are only mentioning a few moments in a two decade domination of the sport. She has more national titles than American in history. She has more world and Olympic medals than anyone history! Male or female! Her difficulty is usually so high she could fall on every event and still win. She is doing skills so difficult that no one else has ever attempted them and has so much power in order to do them that it can be difficult to control the landings an stick them. Add to that her calf injury and she still only stepped out of bounds twice AND won silver! And just to educate you, she didn't 'quit on her teammates" in Tokyo. She had the twisties, which anyone one in gymnastics could easily explain as a disconnect between the brain and body. Meaning that had she attempted to do the hardest skills in the world, as she does, with all the double and triple twisting skills she is known for, COULD HAVE LITERALLY KILLED OR PARALYZED HER! It was not safe for her to compete and took her 2yrs to retrain her body how to do things she had been doing since she was 6. She isn't the first gymnast to expirence them and she won't be the last. In fact Suni Lee had an issue earlier this year with the same sh*t! It really gets old seeing people who have not actually done or watched gymnastics speak about crap they do not understand. She is the GOAT because there is no one else that even comes close to her career accomplishments just since she moved from junior to women's gymnastics. The only person who could compete, on a physical level, is Rebecca and the two of them have all the respect in the world for one another! Regardless it will be decades before anyone could ever come close to touching her 41 World and Olympic medal count! Again, male or female!
@@jeffbeeman1701exactly. Without any air awareness or being able to do the hardest skills she's known for, she could have cost them that silver too!
I agree she fell off the beam, quit on her team last Olympics.
Im so happy for Rebecca and Italy today. The italians held their nerve today, and thats what made the difference. They are also a rising team and I hope they continue to up their difficulty to remain on the world podiums and at the Olympics. I really hope Simone, Rebecca, and Suni dont bow out of the sport because they are really creating a level of performance that hasnt been reached yet.
I cried when D'Amato won beam. She's come in 4th place so many times and you could see the disappointment in her face continuously loosing to women who are enigmas. I was really hoping she would get to take home a medal, and she ended up getting gold in the most difficult apparatus. I was so happy for her! Bravissima!
They are in their late 20's so they may not continue.
@FF-by6ci suni is 21, and Chusovitina won her first Olympic silver at 33. Vanessa Ferrari got the silver at 29 on the floor on tokyo, so it's possible.
@@battlehymnoftheempath3610Ferrari’s floor routine in Tokyo was my favorite moment in that games. I watched it over and over and posted it on my social media. I’m from an era of gymnastics where you retired from world competitions when you went to college, so to see women in their 30’s complete in the Olympics is amazing.
LOLOL what ??? haha the whole Italian team have such sour faces the entire time...they seem so unhappy that the other teams won. no grace at all. Yucky.
This is one of the reasons why I love this sport. The love these gymnasts show to eachother, recognising eachothers hardwork and dedication to the sport 👏. That's what greatness is about.

The bowing to Rebecca was amazing not only as a sport move but also because Rebecca had such a hard life. It just feels nice when those kind of people get the light and respect.

The best thing about about Simone getting Silver on floor is that the likelihood we will see her in LA28 might have just gone up slightly. I can’t believe she is done and she has left the door open ⭐️

This competition was beautiful, i watched it every day and when i saw the final podium i also thought the same as Biles said, the representation of the podium it's beautiful and also to see the respect all the athletes have for each other. I was rooting for Rebeca, she represented our country very well, we are proud, she continues to make history for Brazilian gymnastics, which fought for many years to be on the podium, but i have to say that... seeing Biles, Jordan and all the athletes was incredible. Simone is an extraordinary gymnast and i don't know when we will be able to see another athlete like her soon, because she's a rare talent and I feel happy to be able to watch this, she's a Legend and so much sweet person , I admire Simone even more 🫶💖 greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷 and congratulations to all the athletes👏

Rebecca was so happy for others and celebrated her overall silver like a win. Simone can be proud of silver too. It’s all about celebrating medals and Simone got the most gold but I am happy Rebeca shined too, she danced and floor is about atmosphere too. Great floor show!
They are all wonderful examples of athletes, humans, women...love the respect they show each other...no matter what country you are from.

This is a testament that taking care of one's mind FIRST allows you to push yourself to impossible heights. Ladies, you all did amazing!

All gymnasts have been supporting each other since 2018 from what I can remember. You can hear them cheer for their competitors all the time. You could hear Biles said "you got it" to the Chinese before her dismount on BB final.
Yes, but she is excited for the all black podium. It's going to be super awkward on the plane ride home sitting next to her white teammates. Or maybe she prefers to sit in an all black section.

😂😂😂 same, same
. She said she is very happy and very honored to be in the position she occupies today, which is something very difficult to achieve.
That he trains hard, fights hard, comes close to victory many times, and that doesn't happen and, therefore, it is an honor to represent, shows that it is possible. And believe that when you have a team that dreams the same dreams as you, things happen and that's what happened. That she has an excellent multidisciplinary team, she has her coach, the girls who train with her, and the focus of wanting to make it happen even on bad days, on excellent days, which is that you go with fear, without fear, that fear does part of being human, that sometimes she dies of fear, but she felt that every day in Paris was light.
She also said that before going to compete she went through some situations, which injured her shoulder, and that this left her wondering if it would work out, but that the days got better, bringing her confidence back.
Finally, she ends by saying that receiving the affection from the girls in the bow is very great, that they are the best in the world, and that they are always hoping for the best because they know how difficult it is to be there, that it was an honor and that it was very, very happy for the gesture.

"I am very happy and honored to be in this position today. It is very hard to be achieved. We train hard, we struggle hard, we "hit the beam" [miss the goal, in soccer] many times and sometimes it simply does not happen. Indeed, it's an honor to represent [my country], to be able to show it is possible. I believe that when you are in a multiskilled team that wants the same thing you do, that shares the same dreams, things come about. I have a very disciplined, top-notch team, I have my coach, I have my team mates and the focus, the drive to make things happen even on the bad days and on the great days, with fear or without it. We have to go ahead and face the music. Sometimes I do freak out. But that's normal. That's human. Some days are lighter than others. The days here have struck me as very light. Before I arrived here, I had some issues. I hurt my shoulder, I had pains and that makes us a bit doubtful. I wondered "Will I make it? Will I pull through?" But as the days went by things were improving. My self-confidence rose and I went back on track. That's it. It's about showing it is possible"

Those complaining about "all black podium" are just exposing themselves. It's the 1st time in history that it has happened, why is she not allowed to acknowledge that? Those saying "well what if a white athlete said "all white podium". Guess what, "all white podiums" have always been a thing in gymnastics. Crazy how some people are so triggered by diversity.
It's probably because diversity has been shoved down people's throats, when they were never against diversity in the first place. The more you scream "diversity" at people, the more people are likely to say Shut the F up already, I never had a problem with diversity, race, color or any of that.

Is there a way to see the press conference without cuts?
I am happy for both of these women's accomplishments; I am a US citizen and was rooting for the united states women, however I wanted us to win fairly. The judges ruling over Sabrina Voinea was disgusting. I hope in the future American Gymnasts understand that wanting justice for one person doesn't mean "not being happy for another". Even if Voinea wouldn't win, some of us just want fair treatment and recognition for an injustice. I feel badly for both girls now bc Chiles or Voinea will lose their medal based souly on an computer malfunction marking one gymnast out of bounds when replay's clearly show her in. Ana Barbosu losing was sad based souly on how the media chose to highlight and then strip it from her but sadly in gymnasts that happens alot. Voinea was just forgotten and should be recognized fairly even if she still doesn't earn bronze from it, it was her deduction for stepping out when she clearly and visible did not that should be removed from her score. It was injust to no fault of the USA Gymnastics team, and I hope the young girls recognize that. The unfair and unjust treatment was from the judges, and I hope the gymnastics community can pull together and recognize it. It makes me sick when people jump to slam either party or make it something it's not, I think of how many girls from qualifying up to Indiviuals now who may have been wronged including the USA based souly on not having flag women this year and marking dance or turn elements as "out".
