ROBERT EXCELLENT VIDEO
I agree, Jerome is one of those placed that you just keep going back to.
As a Swede the snow road part was hilarious. The road was in great condition. But if you pulling a trailer with summer/all season tyres I understand that you turned around. You never know how the road is further up. with bad tyres it can get dangerous fast. Thanks for the long and great episode.
😂
As a Floridian NOPE NOPE NOPE! Bring on chains, winches, plows, tow trucks! NOPE NOPE NOPE! 😄🤙
This Scandinavian American agrees! Great show!
I'm impressed you being a Floridian and pulling a camper on snow.
Lynx campground in Prescott,az is the best to camp. There’s trees in between the other camping spots. And very separate from escribe.
Jerome looks like a great tourist town without the carnival atmosphere.
Yes!
The last time I was At the Haunted Hamburger the dining room was small bathrooms were even smaller than was 14 years ago Next time you should take a Ride on the Verd Canyon railroad.
Hi there Traveling Robert. The building you said "seemed to be a hotel," the one near the mine shaft, is actually a private residence. Also, next time you come to Jerome, visit the museum which was to the right of the mineshaft. It's the best part of Jerome. Inside you can watch a short movie about the history of the town and tour the 2 story home of the man responsible for founding the town and owner of the mineshafts. Quite an interesting story. Also, I have 5 acres in Show Low, boy do you get around!!! Great to have you in Arizona back in February. Love your vids. Thank you.
Newest subscriber here! Awesome channel Robert!
On my trip, Jerome was a refreshing break from touristy, expensive Sedona. My favorite painting came from a small gallery in Jerome and I the artist happened to be in that day; what a treat. The narrow, switchback road did scare me...a bit. Again, thanks for the memories. No longer have the income of a job to travel; retired so get to stay home and watch your videos!
As far as the letters on the mountains above like the town of Jerome, The practice came from air plane navigation aids years ago so a pilot could identify the town he was flying over. I have been a pilot for 30 years and learned that just recently.
LOVED THE CHAMPAGNE ON ICE!
Thank you Robert for your dedication and hard work on filming and editing these videos. They are superb! 🚐
A great travelling video with motivational speech and music to go with it! Thanks once again for this wonderful film exploring new places and meeting amazing things.
Brought back many memories as my aunt used to live in Cottonwood. We used to visit often and see all the areas you went. Great video tour you did of our Arizona awesomeness 👍
Robert - we are currently planning a NY-CO-UT-NV-AZ-NM-TX and back loop - your vids are tremendously helpful. Safe travels buddy...
My dream destination ❤🇺🇸...thank you sir...beautiful video on Arizona😍.
Loving this, thank u! Happy travels 👍😍
Loved the video. All the views and places were picture perfect. I love Arizona and you presented it so well. Thanks a ton Robert.
That RV spot was beyond what I want to say right now
As always Robert, welcome back to Arizona. As an Arizonan, I love your posts on Arizona. Very cool.
Next time you're in Jerome, be sure to go to the old high school. Amost every floor has artists that rent or baught spaces.
For me, the best part was walking through the hallways on different floors. It was incredibly creepy, scary, but awesome.
Wow!!! I want to come back to Arizona and see this! Thanks for the video!
Great show. Thanks
Couldn't help but notice the beautiful blue cloud filled skies! So bright at times! Loved it!
Wow! Arizona is so beautiful!
The time you take to show each part and each town each corner each hill is enviable and I congratulate you because it leads one to know the places better as if i were there. Thank you so much.
Very nice video Robert:) it’s cool to see someone who loves the mountain and snow as much as I do:)
Just got back from a four month trip out west. Arizona and New Mexico were definitely the highlight states. We loved Jerome too. Took my travel trailer through Jerome (. I don’t recommend doing this as the streets are really narrow) up to Potato Patch State Park. An awesome place. Will go back again. Nice video, Robert!
Been there, Done that, all beautiful!!! Safe travels!!!
Hola Robert! Eres nuestra inspiración y a propósito, me encantan tus recetas
Great job again, Robert. Continue to have fun and always be safe, my friend.
Great video!! Two thumbs up 👍👍 Loved seeing all the ruins and Jerome looked like a fun town with so much to do. You had us a little nervous driving in the snow, we were hoping you would turn around at the first opportunity you had, but we’re glad to see you eventually made the u-turn. Great job making it down on the snowy road! Thank you!
I will try and make next Friday Robert! Also, glad to see you go to see more of that region! AWESOME!
This is really scary to see you driving the rv on the snow cover road , I glad you make it , great video Robert , thanks for the view of beautiful wonderland in Arizona
That's not a campground. That's just a parking lot. Unfortunately, in this age of increasing demand for RV spaces, we will probably see a lot more of this type packing them in to get every penny they can.
It's fine for one night if you just need a place to sleep, but would not be a fun place to camp for multiple days.
I’d rather stay in the Walmart parking lot or truck stop. I refuse to give them a penny.
@@BillUtah Hallelujah!
Looks like Colorado's chugging along just fine hope you got that transmission resolved God bless you thank you for this fantastic video🎥
Loved your video of Jerome. It was next best thing to actually being there in person.
Wow! Montezuma looks like a fun area to explore, I hope to visit there soon. Jerome is a pretty town!
I worry about that 2wd truck in the snow pulling your rig. Looks nice out there.
Good morning Robert what a beautiful town Jerome and the views yes I like this place thanks Robert have a wonderful day today I see you next Sunday
Thank you, Robert. Snow makes me shake. Seeing you driving in it was frightening. Jerome was just wonderful. The sparse hillside buildings with scenic views were spectacular. There was much more to it than I had thought. But still, not much. I wish I could be there. Keep it up.
BEAUTIFUL! View. Thank you for sharing this with us. I love Mead its great and will get you tipsy quickly... LOL
Hello Robert great show of the West ...Roadrunner Rich
Everywhere you go on your beautiful I love the snow I wish I was there in the snow cuz I love snow will stay safe be careful out there and happy travels
Wow you are so close to 200k subscribers and deservedly so! Fantastic video!
Absolut great video. Montezuma and Montezuma Wall better than i think. Jerome is a town i must see any time. so many things to see in USA. Thanks Robert
Very cool. Thanks.
💚Enjoying... Thank You!
Hello Traveling Robert😊😊🎸🎸🎵🎵, I keep looking for PELICANS but I didn't see any! I have been to Jerome and what a cool town it is. So many visitors that travel to northern Arizona don't realize that winter weather can happen. I'm so happy that you got Wilcox safely. I'm really excited to see footage of Tombstone and surrounding areas. This video was OUTSTANDING👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍!
Da view boss, da view :-) oh wait, that was a wrong tv s how, LOL...Seriously, this vlog is so amazing, I want to travel now...Keep it coming Robert and Ily...
Great video xx
As you were driving I was thinking... what about gas and then you said it lol.
I can respect your decision to turn around. Snowy roads can be a bit rough to handle if not used to it. Such spectacular mountains. Cool well. ❤
Ah, Sunday morning...time for coffee and the latest TR video! We did pretty much the same trip around the area a while back--I remember having a chili dog at the Sonic Drive-In across the freeway from your RV camp :-) The view from Jerome was fantastic! If you ever make it back to the Verde Valley, try to take a ride on the Verde Canyon Railroad. Hope you are enjoying Mini Tini III...happy trails!
Been to a lot of the places you covered, however would love to go back. Love AZ !!
Thank you Robert for another interesting video. I always appreciate the added bits about the history of the towns and sites you visit. It motivates me to read further about these areas. Strange that that area is called Verde Valley as it sure doesn’t appear very green.
Strange also is the naming patterns of my old Southern family. It’s roots run very deep. Several of my male ancestors were named Green, a given name not uncommon in the 1800s. During the same time, several male ancestors were named Verde, which of course is the Spanish word for ‘green’. After 25 years of genealogical research, I have yet to understand why Verde was used by some family. Cheers
Great video and nice to see the Ghost Town of Jerome, btw easy on the drinks Robert 😉🍺🍷👍🏻
Three drinks spread across the hours a day seems perfectly a-okay.
Sure was a good decision to turn around. We drove that road, “666,” in the early 80’s in the summertime. The view of the valley floor before descending on hairpin turns was terrifying.
You drove right by the turn off for town of Greer, AZ. So close, but you missed it. It is one of the best kept secrets of AZ. Little colorado river runs right through heart of the town, so beautiful. Great video though, you represented AZ well.
Spectacular video Robert. The ruins looked interesting. Jerome looks like a wonderful town to visit. Its a shame how much that RV park is cramming the RVs in. No privacy. Your food looked amazing. I miss American burgers .-14 c I have never been in such cold weather. Really nice editing. Well done Robert
I would have turned around as well. That road did not look good at all! This reminds me of a trip I took to Kamloops, BC (google Highway to Hell) right after my dad passed away. What normally takes 3 and 1/2 hours took 8 that day because of the treacherous winter conditions! Glad you made it through that safely. Jerome looks like a cool old western mining town. Will definitely visit if I get to that area!
I can't believe I'm only now realizing that he's been in Arizona in every single episode in this series except for the first two! Very nice way to explore the state. Also funny how the coldest temperature you've been in in any RV is in the hottest state in the country!!
Jerome, situated on a side of a mountain, looks like you were in Italy. The views are spectacular!
I'll be back. I only got to one of my favorite parts- the Wine tasting with the meats and cheeses🍷🍷🍖🧀🍞🍅-delicious! I'll see the rest!🍿🤗
Beautiful video.... very interesting places...... with incredible landscapes. Congrats....Keep up...and see you on the road ...... Love... MOM ...>>>
ON TODAYS EPISODE TRAVELING ROBERT MEETS ICE ROAD TRUCKERS. 😂
Loved it Robert, great video. It’s like sharing memories with an old friend watching your videos!!
👍🇺🇸🇺🇸 You make me laugh about the snow
Вітаю. Як завжди цікава подорож, подивився з задоволенням.
Your commentary hahaha
Love it!
Another excellent video, sir! The trip down US 180 from Alpine was the correct choice; US 191 south from Alpine usually requires tire chains or aggressive tread M/S All Terrain tires and four-wheel drive (not sure your Colorado has that if I recall correctly from your other videos). You were wise to turn around.
The first scenic overlook you stopped at on US 180 is between Luna and the turn off to Reserve, NM. Looking east at the overlook then to the right, you are looking at the north end of the Gila Wilderness. I have a photo from that same place taken in mid-September 2013 that shows thunderstorms building over the mountains you were looking at. I will see if I can get it to you with the Lat/Long of the place.
This was an exceptionally beautiful video Robert. Thank you.
I’m surprised not more RVers aren’t using solar panels. And also, it seems that park had room to spread out a bit more. It looked way too jammed up.
Great video. Next time stay at Verde Ranch or Verde River. Verde Ranch was #1 Luxury RV Park in 2021 or 2022. Beautiful resort. We weren’t impressed with Distant Drums as well.
It's alright if it's not part of the plan. Love New Mexico!
Love this video, with 400 lbs of tongue weight on your rear wheels, a little snow shouldn't mess with you, but I also would be terrified towing in it.
Pelicans sighted on Beaver Creek! Go pelican heads ! Fly Robert,FLY1
Hello from the Rivera family and thank u
I really enjoy the music that you add to your content, it just compliments well. Most vlogers add loud annoying music that doesn't go well with their content
That was a Pace Arrow next to the RR. They were built in Buffalo, NY where you can visit the museum
Please think very seriously to upgrade your truck to have 4-wheel drive. Great for Snow, sand, mud, heavy rain and off road driving to Explore. Be Safe!
We truly ENJOY your tours!
Jerome is great. I’ve got to visit.
Safety first. Some other day. Still love your videos.
thanks for the video. I love the Verde Valley. To bad that winery isn't a Harvest Host.
We went into the place you didn’t go into and we kind of liked it. Was interesting had some old mining equipment and an old cowboy guy who had been in the area a long time who worked there that we talked to
Time for some All-Season tires next time you have to change them anyway. They will perform so much better in snow/icy conditions.
And a proper set of tire chains wouldn't hurt, either.
Interesting to hear you say you think you preferred the Montezuma Well over the ‘castle’’. Certainly less crowded, and we have to agree! We feel the same way. Seems to be more to do and see at the well if you walk all the trails.
Highway 191 is the renumbered Old Highway 666 aka “The Devil’s Highway”. I was cringing when you mentioned you were going to take it. It is hardly suitable for towing anything a long its many, many curves. It has more curves than the Tail of the Dragon in Tennessee. It is a motorcyclist’s favorite.
Agree, rode this on my motorcycle and it is quite a ride‼️😎👍
Did the hear the story about the three Corvettes racing through there in 1969? Two of them crashed in the first few miles and went over cliffs and the last one blew a tire 5 miles later and rolled off the road. A total of 4 people were killed and none of the cars could even be recovered they were so ton up (because of the fibreglas bodies). I believe that might have been when they changed the Highway from 666 to 191/
Growing up in The White mountain s, we drove on 666 a lot. We picked it up in springerville to get to the Zuni reservation and Gallup. When I moved in 1980 it was still 666

Cubans in the snow, priceless! Just wait until you get hit by a blizzard! I’m Cuban raised in Northern New Mexico. Like most Cubans you move to SoFl. Hi neighbor!
Hey Robert, could I see a Chandon Bottle in the snow ? Really good sparkling wine from my country 😃
“I’m going to have to start lying about my size.” We literally just had this conversation last weekend. The site the campground put us in was ridiculously small, and shoved up against a cabin. I’ve never exaggerated the size of our TT, but I wonder how many people do….
we had lunch at the Jerome hotel, and it was cooler temperature wise, and the food was good
Great video tour of Arizona on your Az videos 200k subscribers B4 August
As a person who's plowed snow for many years that road was fine and plowed. A plowed road is not necessarily bare. If you're not comfortable with driving on snow roads that's understandable so it's best to avoid those situations.
Denver needs me!
Check engine light on? Maybe you could do a video on your thoughts and experiences with the colorado...
You'd never guess Jerome at only 444 people by driving around. Nice buildings. Big Main Street.
I wasn't driving in the snow and I was scared to death.....I worked/live in Michigan for 6 years and bring to my memory driving on snow. One day I was driving on a country road ( two lanes) so slow that co-workers the next day told my Plant Manager that I saved 27 people lives driving so slow.
You were in my hunting grounds near the southwest part on NM.
Hay if Your Not Pushing Snow With Your Bumper or Headlights Your Fine Kick Back & Enjoy The Views
i live in n ohio that snow you encountered would be considered slight dusting here in winter
