There was one time I was shopping for a new car. The car lot was filming a commercial for their business. They had a petting Zoo come out as they wanted animals in the commercial. There was an African Lioness and I asked if I could pet her. I did and she was friendly. Then I walked away a few steps and sit down in the sidewalk. I was getting ready to lite a cigarette and my arm was bumped out of the way, as the lioness came over and got into my lap and started rubbing her head on me. I just hugged her and she loved it! The feeling of having a 350 lb Lioness in your lap is beyond any religious experience I ever had! That's my favorite animal encounter!😉
Finding a gila monster when climbing up a cliffside on my first time herping, or catching a massive spiny softshell in a stream by total accident trying to pick up a rock.
When I was a kid I went to the Cincinnati Zoo and saw a silverback gorilla throw a cabbage and bean some old lady square in the face. Funniest thing I've ever seen.
My favorite moment with an animal was at the St. Louis zoo. Me and my dad were there for a guns and roses concert. I was watching the polar bear do laps in his pool. And when he turn around, he would stand completely up to his full height at a window. And for one second he would stand up just a few feet away from you. I never have ever felt so small in the world. Nothing from Chicago skyscrapers or granite mountains ever made me feel so small.
bug conspiracy is Klaus Schwab and "leaders of the new world" having a televised and broadcasted summit where they discuss how you are all going to eat bugs
No but seriously wife and the kids and booked a boat to Lowe Key in the Florida Keyes had some awesome experience snorkeling with Caribbean reef sharks
Stopped along the Suwanee river to stretch my legs from canoeing for a bit, and I stopped to look into the beautiful crystal clear water and a spring opening gushing fresh water... it was so cool... Water moccasin(Florida River VIPER!!!) just chilling right next to my foot for well over a min or so...😬😱🥶I got away safely..
I've never been more into wildlife in my whole life then after realizing this pod exists. Thank all three of you for sharing all this stuff and making it fun along the way!!
Id say I have 2 favorites: When I was a kid I got to fly in the plane with my dad up in the Alaskan bush. We lived up in a cold desolate village called Barrow, northern most town in America. One year a big group of polar bears got stuck on land after the ice they came in on floated away. So on the usual work shift my dad and I got to fly low over the beach, we saw about 10-15 polar bear all trolling along the shore. Very cool moment for me as a kid Second was much later in my life on a float down the Chena river, also in Alaska. Everything was going fine until we noticed some storm clouds forming right above us, 2 different ones. I distinctly remember a buddy saying something along the lines of "those things are going to collide and we're gonna get rain". Sure enough about 30min- 1hr later it was raining so hard I felt like forest gump. I finally understood the "it rained up" line, because it was so heavy I almost couldn't tell. So we endure through that and finally make it out the other end, the sun hits us really hard and its suddendly really quiet. I look over to my left after wiping away the water and not more than 15 ft away is the biggest moose I've ever seen, I being an idiot did not realize how dangerous it was to be that close, but it just stared at us as we floated by and we were all quiet. Was really a kickass moment I'll cherish forever.
Confectioners glaze is made of shellac which is a secretion left behind on trees by the female lac bug in Asia. A lot more candy besides candy corn uses it.
I work for a Laotian, Vietnamese, Thai family business and have for years and bugs are definitely viable, especially spiders, I promote every kind of diet as eventually there will be so many people my diet will be at risk from sheer demand, If I can get people eating bugs I’ll take the pizza and burgers all day
34:51 the whole topic of eating bugs is so pointless to me. I know bugs look gross, they are creepy, etc. but as a solution for food shortages it makes perfect sense. Idc what I’m eating and I share the same viewpoint as forrest and pat. Let’s eat bugs, end world hunger, and get swole in the process of 😂
My favorite animal encounter is when I was 5-6 yo, I was chased by a docile wild boar in baluran island in Indonesia because I was eating a banana and the boar wanted my banana lmao, it stopped chasing me after I threw the banana
YESSSSS!!!! I HAVE SOMETHING TO LISTEN TO FOR WORK TOMORROW! Do you think you guys can do a 9 hour stream from 7:30-5:30 PST please? Lol jk but not kidding
The whole controversy with the bug thing is based on the “world economic forum”. That’s the “they” and their other policies proposals are also pretty creepy
for the battle royale I'd go with a pine marten. fast enough to escape all people, and be mistaken for a rat, and it could subsist off of rats and garbage because of the mustelid mentality, and not be afraid of people.
I think I remember something about this... Maybe somewhere near the Carolinas? Black fins? Is that right? Not in a position to go googling, so if someone knows the answer(s), PLEASE feel free to correct me :)
Forrest’s passion and intensity sometimes causes him to do unintentional harm-to remove a European mink and elephant seal from their natural habitats just to be featured on his wildlife podcast? Seriously? Unnecessary
34:20 and it’s clear you guys should stick to animals. 100% bugs in food is a political issue if it dosent have to be disclosed like any other ingredient or source.
@PleistocenePark......???????? @ForrestGalante me and my Dad just watched the tour of the Artic on CZcams. It contained what they callled the @PleistocenePark. Where they are bringing back plants and animals which were native in that area hundreds and even thousands of years ago. I would love to hear your guys thoughts and opinions on this. Is it good bad or just????? who knows yet. My Dad is a huge fan if you do get to see this message and maybe talk about this on your podcast which would be awesome could you say hi to my Dad Steven from Saint John N.B. Canada much love and respect. Adam

Lots of candy has bug ingredients. Like skittles. Most of the time it's concrete under subway tracks. My dad worked for the Toronto subway.
First open ocean dive, lagerhead turtle.
After 2 months of binge watching TwT pod, over 100 hours of forest pat and retep I have finally caught up and just in time for 103

I ran in to a badger when running through a forest a few weeks back, it growled at me and I was like damn! It was a pretty cool encounter.
I’m just catching up with all the pods, Forrest makes a stunning warewolf with his hair gone wild 😂

Forrest is pretty much the coolest guy in the world.
Peter eats Taco Bell but afraid of a little bug lacquer?
Best guys ever
Forrest was right with the Battle Royale. Have you seen the video with a honeybadger versus 3 cheetahs?
IT´S WILD!
The only thing stronger the peters stomach after Taco Bell is the toliet offer taco bell
The comment about the guy going down there to forest was very weird and awkward. He’s lucky forest is calm. Very classy response.
The whole controversy with the bug thing is based on the “world economic forum”. That’s the “they” and their other policies proposals are also pretty creepy
I would choose a vampire bat for my rabid animal
These guys are full of it talking about the beyond burgers are good.
4:56 🤣🤣🤣
Um yes, please do make this all about whale sharks
Shooting hogs out of a helicopter was my favorite animal encounter.
for the battle royale I'd go with a pine marten. fast enough to escape all people, and be mistaken for a rat, and it could subsist off of rats and garbage because of the mustelid mentality, and not be afraid of people.
f that im not eating bugs
no one is forcing you to
17:00
Bugs are just important as anything why start killing them.
I have tried roasted crickets on multiple occasions, and they are delicious!!!
Was there an official reason on why there was so many sharks congregating off the east coast years ago? Do y'all remember what I'm talking about?
I think I remember something about this... Maybe somewhere near the Carolinas? Black fins? Is that right? Not in a position to go googling, so if someone knows the answer(s), PLEASE feel free to correct me :)
Really wish there was a “mute annoying rude unfunny peter” option.

Anyone that wants me to eat bugs belongs on the gallows far as I’m concerned
Elephant is my favorite animal
