I'm glad Nate respects him as well. I just wish the matchup happened 4-5 years ago. Tony looked like he lost some intensity, angry Tony in the fight was the most vicious Tony. He looked like he just wanted to have fun with Nate, rode along, and I liked seeing him happy at the end of the day, God knows he had some demons in his head...
You cried? What?
Tony seems to have found some kind of inner peace and I respect him for the way he handled this whole event. For all of their hard work and sacrifices Nate and Tony both deserve the best life has to offer them inside and outside of the cage. Both gave me years of enjoyment and entertainment and I feel and appreciate how they are fighters by blood regardless of the reward. Love these guys man
Trust me... the UFC made sure he got paid this last fight that's why he was quiet and did not say anything about fighter pay and insurance and so on
He's done. I love Tony but once a fighter gets comfortable with losing it means he has come to terms with loss and expected to lose.

Tony was paid off to lose by mates team. He leaned into the guillotine choke. That's my conspiracy theory.
Most of us have so much love and respect for these two that we really didnt want none of them to lose. But this was Nate's night. He came into the UFC as a young kid and leaves the octagon as a certified legend. To the people saying how can you call a 50/50 fighter a legend, this is not the sport for you. We dont back up just the undefeated guys. What we really want to see is these guys fighting their heart out in the face of adversity, win lose or draw. Thats what's inspiring to the audience, and thats what makes these guys modern day gladiators. And there's none bigger than Nate. Thanks for the memories champ

@@vivaeuropa Yeah, I agree. If the fight would have happened back then , we would have seen a 5 round back and forth war since both lack too much in their defensive abilities and instead make up for it through their high pace, pressure and aggressive approach with granite chins, grit, heart, and iron will's...

For Nate, coming into this fight, his camp would have focused on his wrestling, specifically takedown defense, escapes and counters, in preparation for an absolute monster in Khamzat. So I knew his wrestling was going to be that extra bit sharper than Tony's, and it proved to be the decider in the end. Whether either of them choose to make this their last fight, both are legends and were warriors from the beginning till the very end.
He was ready with the guillotine. He probably focused on attacking to counter Khamzat's takedowns. Lesser wrestlers have taken Nate down. No way a shot Diaz is going to stop Khamzat's wrestling.
@ItsMe Haha fair play, got me there.
He was NEVER going to fight Khamzat. It was all for show. 100%
This fight was entertaining but such a snoozefest. Conor would fit right in this elderweight division
Khamzat would have murdered nate.
2 legends, this is how it should be nothing but respect
Nate is such a LEGEND at this point. Seems like he has been in the game forever.

The composure after such a week ...what a LEGEND
Very good observation. And that was his last fight on his contract too, he couldâve acted a whole lot different but he kept his composure like a real G.

LEGENDS!
tony never had a chance against khabib disgusting to think he had
Tony the type of guy to not cut Nate
@@hellotron9118 Khabib pulled out 3 times against prime Tony.
Tony's corner costed him the fight. They kept insisting him to go for a take down on Diaz even though Tony was having a lot of success on those brutal leg kicks. Once on the ground Diaz was comfortable get a submission.
@@goatedcrafty7733 tony lost his last 5 khabib won his last 29 end of debate
I think heâll be back sooner than we think. Easily one of my favorite fighters in UFC history. The definition of a warrior. Shout out to Tony for coming thru at the last minute and fighting his heart out. It was only right for Nate to have another warrior as his opponent for the last fight in his contract.
Two slugish Kamzat can take them both at the time.
Nate Diaz has no cardio smokinng weed for Kamzat Tony is over getting bet recently done.
Americans are done over the world with thier tacktics decpetion total collapse. It has been planed this way from the inception of the contract commmer sell on paper vieve.
It it by designe they want to keep this crap legend a lengend Nate Diaz Kamzat would distroy him again in round one.
Not one UFC show deception in action punishment or treatment like Nganou for example.
All respect for Tony but right now he's washed. Nate cant compete anymore at the best level. Both of them should retire with all the respect for their career.
He will be back. Both him and Conor agreed to a trilogy fight.
He wants to box CZcamsrs. Good for him, but imagine if he gets knocked out?
