The power kept cutting out which would stop their backing track, so when the power came back on and the tape (probably DAT) started back up, the few live elements (vocals, some drums and quiet keyboards) were out of sync with the tape. This had happened a few times, so they decided to just smash their gear up and walk off. Dunno about the speed of the song. They seemed to play it normal speed at other Lollaz, so that may be power related too? Wrong Hz.
Supposedly the heat had melted and warped the tape rig.

I was there. It was hot as balls and nothing was going the way it was supposed to. If I recall, this was only two or three songs into their set.
