Kuga/Escape has more soft material on interior, more refinited trunk and better infotainment system. Tucson has more rear space and more modern dashboard design. Very similar but for me Kuga drives better and a I choose it.

Adaptive cruise, self parking, DAB Radio, better stereo, AEB, better steering, a dual clucth trans that drives brilliantly, power socket in the second row. The hyundai is nice to look at outside but the Ford is a better package. Oh and the power boot on the Ford can be closed handsfree with the foot as well (and mine works with the towbar too!!), Hyundai have to use the remote key or the button to close. The only win for the Tuscon is Bigger boot and full size spare matching alloy, 2nd power outlet in the front and a better phone/wallet storage. But the Android auto with twin usb sockets in the Ford make up for a single front power socket. Ive been getting Mid 7's urban driving in our escape diesel vs the reviewed 9L in the tuscon around town. I was looking at the Tuscon for so long but the Escape won on the day. If only I could have afforded the Endura or we had the Explorer here.... seen them in the Philippines even couple years back. Wow theyre beautiful (and they even get the 3.5 ecoboost v6).

The load floor can be flattened in the Ford Escape. You can lift the rear floor and it snaps into the back of the seats making the floor flat. They also give you the option to un flatten the floor so you can gain a tiny bit of space.

Have 1 2018 Hyundai Tucson 2.0 and 2017 Ford Escape1.5 turbo, i think HYUNDAI TRANSMISSION IS MUCH BETTER, Escape soft touch on steering wheel car make turn no comfortable, Hyundai save more gas and Escape have good trunk Space , but I don't agree about ford escape its better i have both about 2 years and my opinion Hyundai its better

Interesting! The U.S.Titanium Escape is a lot different.....for instance, the front passenger seat is fully powered with the same settings as the driver's seat.....and the floor of the cargo area does not have any lip when you fold down the rear seats. I wonder why the differences?

I have the Escape and it is very good. You are wrong about the floor in the back. It has two positions where you can have the floor . If you put it on the higher position you can have the floor flat to load a bookcase.

So strange when they refreshed it, you didn't get the new interior like we did in North America. Normally you get the more feature filled versions.

Step in the boot floor? Sorry guys that's just lazy, you can see it has a two layer system there in the escape you just step the load platform up to the next level and you have a level load floor.

The Escape was picked over the Tucson!!!! Unbelievable. The Kuga / escape was an old model when it landed here in 2012. It hasn't improved much since then. Not enough to warranty a "win" in this comparison, and especially against a locally tuned Hyundai.

They're pretty evenly-pegged. With these big wheels, I'd say the Tucson by a small margin. But on smaller wheels, the Escape is really refined.

It is other way around. Tuscon cascading grille was launched last year which Ford Escape modeled after that grille a year later.
That is the grille of Audi incorporated thanks to the courtesy of Hyundai-designer Paul Shreyer, a former designer of VW/Audi. Hence a lot similarities between Hyundai grille and Audi grille. Ford just happened to be milking the trend which is grille at this moment.

Chasing Cars we don't get Diesel engines because VW made a big mistake faking its mpg testing but my titanium is super nice with 245 hp and 275 pft it's plenty fast and the intelligent 4wd make quick work of the snow ice and rain don't get me wrong this is a city car for the heavy weather a jeep is best
