EG won but respect for CDEC basically unkown teamn they came from open qualifiers to TI finals. That's an achievement only surpassed by OG's win in 2018
Maybe in dota2, but they are a very known squad back in dota1

Back when EG roster was:
You ban universe heroes, you got sumail's
You ban sumail heroes, you got PPD's
You ban PPD heroes, you got Aui's
You ban Aui heroes, you got Fear's
And finally when you Ban Fear heroes, Universe's heroes carry the entire TI.
actually pro teams towards the end were forced to ban AUI's heroes, and many chinese teams say he's the reason why EG always won draft (you had to ban his naga and techies or you just instalose)
I think Universe 2015-16 is the best offlaner in Dota2 history
