Making Kratos' Axe - Leviathan - God of War

- Hello! This day has come! Today we're making the enormous heavy Kratos' Axe from God of War. The Axe itself will be cut with cnc machine out of 26mm steel, we'll make the sideplates using the method of uncusing and jewellery casting. The sideplate picture will be made with etching and the axe picture will be made with engraving. The axe handle will be cut out of birch piece of wood, and the picture will also be made with engraving. The big Axe - the big work. I hope you'll estimate my efforts!

As heavy as that ax is, no edge is needed to kill. Though there's room for debate of whether it's more dangerous to the target or the poor slob trying to lift it.
Well, If he can not do it like you wanted, do it by yourself and show a video in which you demostrate us that you did it better
Pick ANY bladesmith channel, and you'll find what you're looking for. Or, if you'd like specifics, check out Alec Steele's channel. But then, this is a fantasy build, not a functional weapon build, so a lot of leeway is called for. Given that, I think he did a very nice job, even if I did cringe every time he tried to shape metal by hitting it with a big hammer while the metal is cold. :D

I mean yeah, they have a plasma cutter, man at arm's did it from scratch.
Both man at arm's and this channel have amazing axes which anyone would be more than happy to own, I know for a fact I would be the happiest little girl if I had either one.
But this one is less functional

@@Lesnz2009 especially a war axe needs to be sharp and sturdy so it should be able to cut wood (but this axe sadly is not sharp just good looking)

I absolutely love this piece from the detail all the way to the construction if I could add a suggestion, I would have loved to see jewels on the staff. And maybe some type of affect of some sort of frost on the axe

I’ve working in a weld shop for about 1 year now and have exclusively heard spray arc and let’s just say I was very surprised by how quiet your welds were, then I remembered that you can set the welder to under 26 amps lol

Made me laugh when,, hand extended,,,he is given the axe, ( by his lovely assistant), and valiently hold it at arm's length,, till reality and gravity take over,,, and he begins to tip over. Know it was staged,,,, but it was a nice touch,,,, koodos.
