Tyler wrecking that PA system at lemons was a real treat to witness in person. The guy fixing it was not as thrilled as the crowd was 😂.

Tyler nearly totaling a priceless Mercedes, by almost hitting another Mercedes was truly the pinnacle of the entire series. The mechanics reaction says it all.
What I love about the presenters is:
One buys hoopties and has them fixed
Second buys hoopties and fixes them
Third buys expensive hoopties had drives them broken
These three guys embody what we all do and why we do it, all in different proportions to how we feel and our own style.

This is the first one where I actually really felt bad for Tavarish having to work on his car while Ed and Tyler did something fun.

I have never seen anyone more nervous than the guy sitting next to Hoovie in the Mercedes lol. On top of that Hoovie saying he almost wrecked it pulling out of the car park, took years off the guys life.😀
Okay, here me out for a Car Trek idea. You do the Cannonball, but your time starts where you first have to use Auto Tempest to find and buy a car in NYC with a limited budget. Than have multiple stops along the route where you do various challenges. Add up all the time between checkpoints to see who wins. The checkpoints also give you an opportunity to catch up for competitions and to be together, and rest/repairs to what are hopefully very broken cars.
My idea; Start in NYC with an American car change to an European car in Illinois then change to a Oriental car in Texas/Kansas/Nebraska(I-40/I-70/I-80) and drive to the finish ,with 2 challenges in each car along the way.
To many moving parts for a cannonball. The filmers always want rollers and re shoots.
I think the only cannonball idea that is worth the hype is a cannonball 2.0 Maine to Baja California, + back for extra pimpiness
Don't cannonball then do the American lap where they take the full lap and do tracks on the way only counting track times.

The 675 LT is a work of art , the fact that you were able to bring that wreck back to life is unbelievable.
All the love Tyler has for Mercedes was because of the hand-me-down from his grandmother, and now look at the return. She was your best friend.

I love this series! My dream for Car Trek would be an episode where the guys meet their inspirations: "Car Trek Meets The Grand Tour", although I'm pretty sure that it would break the internet! But how awesome would that be? Also, kudos to Freddie... his resurrection of that McLaren is no less than epic! It is a gorgeous car, and the fact that he is willing to take it out and drive it like it was a rental Mustang is even more epic! To say that I am looking forward to the next installment is such an understatement...

I kept thinking how sweet it could be if Freddie could go back and tell Maxima Freddie that in a few years he would be living the dream for all of us. Maybe you guys need a time speed distance rally challenge with PAPER maps to introduce some fun co drivers for the next next one? What if you took modern super cars but on tire sizes from the 80's? R5 turbo vs Shogun Fiesta? Always amazing fun to watch. Special thanks to Ed for illustrating exactly what I have wondered about Lamborghinis I hope his neck/back survived!

Tyler’s Ferrari is basically a nightmare fit for Freddy. Ed’s car aside from a broken grill bit is basically normal and Freddy is wrenching everyday on the mclaren

@@conor7154 Overall TGT was phenomenal in its entirety with some one off poorly done episodes. Car Trek isn't shy in what it's trying to be. The formula works they're not going to change it.

I saw Freddy and Ed's cars on the transport truck near Wichita earlier this summer, presumably on the way to pick up Tyler's Ferrari as well. Totally made my day! No way that was two other people's cars that look just like these two.

Each series gets better and better. This one was probably the least technically complicated, but a lot of laughs!
It's amazing and the only thing is I wish it was longer! Longer episodes, more episodes... this is the best thing on automotive youtube
Take more risks by using adventurous locations to record instead of staying in boring locations (e.g., taking cheap used exotics to places they would normally end up, like a dodgy Central or South American country).
If you're even partially cloning Top Gear, use the winning formula
get out of the country, yes it’s more expensive and maybe create an actual channel called CarTrek or something and upload it there. maybe i’m being picky, but with out risk, there is no reward. much love great videos :))
You really overestimated the amount of tools the average person has. But in all honesty, how does someone not have a single set of wrenches?
not average.... its a rental and most people wont invest in tools for a renter on vacation since they already paid well over $1000 for a couple days they can find a mechanic.... or they have a rental car anyway

What I don’t understand is why he didn’t just go to a store and buy some cheap tools to make the job faster and easier. It isn’t like his car was immobilized.
@@mcf3778 but that probably is close to representative of the tools an average person has. An adjustable wrench, a hammer, a set of pliers, a couple screwdrivers. I'm impressed there was a set of vice grips.

Having visited Carmel every year for the last 22 years as my grandparents retired and bought a house on scenic drive 3 blocks off ocean.(that’s how their address is literally written) and choosing to visit them during the fabled car week, making for me being the poorest person to claim residency during that week on the beach. I can say even the worst examples of cars can SHINE like a diamond among the trees, bluffs, sand, stucco on ocean, and especially within the gates of the 17 mile drive.

I can’t believe how awesome this series is! I was a huge top gear fan I’m and the original us version and I have to say this is much more to my liking and relatable! Ed’s in ending car knowledge and Freddie’s mechanic expertise and Tyler’s comedic personality really fits so well together to give us a automotive masterpiece! Can’t wait for season 10 fellas!

The absolute best part of the whole episode was when our favorite CZcamsrs huddled up to give us a proper laugh.
