The 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6 Limited AWD is a remarkable addition to the electric vehicle market. Here’s a comprehensive review:
Design and Styling The Ioniq 6 boasts a statement-making exterior design1. Its styling is inspired by Hyundai’s dramatic Prophecy concept, and it is as quick as it is futuristic and stylish1. The Ioniq 6 is a sedan with a more low-slung profile than the taller crossovers1.
Performance The Ioniq 6 offers a dual-motor powertrain developing 320 hp and 446 lb-ft of torque23. Thanks to its rear-biased all-wheel-drive system, the EV sedan can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds. It also offers multiple levels of regenerative braking, including a one-pedal driving mode.
Range and Efficiency The Ioniq 6 offers two battery-pack options. In combination with the aerodynamic shape, the 77.4-kWh battery pack means the 6 will provide an estimated 361 miles of max driving range in its longest-range SE Long Range configuration1.
Interior and Technology The Ioniq 6 offers a more luxurious interior than the Model 3 and features more onboard technology when compared with Hyundai’s gas-powered Sonata and Elantra sedans1. However, the heavily digital dashboard might not appeal to everyone.
Pricing The Ioniq 6 is slightly cheaper than the Ioniq 5, with the sedan starting at $42,715 for the base SE Standard Range with the smaller battery.
Verdict The Ioniq 6 sedan has everything we like about its crossover sibling the Ioniq 5 but in a more stylish wrapper. It’s a slam dunk in my opinion, and so impressed us with its blend of style and substance that it was named the EV of the Year for 2023. Thank you all for watching and for the support.
