For the museum curator, you have to return the quest scroll to him in order to get your reward, he'll give you a new quest scroll each time you turn in the current one that will have both a higher bone amount needed and a higher Scout Token reward. The Tier 1 Shop allows you to get the Masterwork schematics for the Tier 1 equipment, which can be forged at the very top of the volcano to get your drills and such. To get the new vehicles you need to build the Ticket Office and go to the second ship where there was no people, that's why that little drop box opened up on it.
This DLC looks really fun already. I like the idea of using the lava, and the winter biome just looks so pretty. 😊
Nah, it's simple. You can walk in lava cause it's not lava. They keep mistaking those notorious orange juice volcanos for normal ones. Common mistake really. XD

Get the starting drill and grinder it’ll get you ice chunks and refine without having to use lave to melt the ice

So a new DLC but is the game actually finished? I haven't played for some time now, so wondering if the "non-dlc" version also has all functionality (well outside of Lava)?

I'm trying to research this game to see if I want to buy it. I can't tell where to start with your playlist, because you have 1 year ago stuff, and then recent stuff that looks like a DLC addon. Is your year ago playthru still relevant to the game I would buy nowadays?
The 2.0 is the most updated of the original map before dlc but dlc does flow in at the end
