Companies are very quickly learning that ESG is only a "Good Times" investor, and when those good times run out, you are left with nobody who wants to shop at/buy your product, and ESG won't invest in you because even they are aware wokeness is a net revenue loss. It is just that up until now they where able to hook onto successful brands, and it takes a minute for the giant airbreak of ESG to slow and stop their momentum.
Just have to look at California, going form the 5th largest economy in the world to the 22nd in 40 years, all under exclusive Democrat leadership, and that's with Hollywood exclusivity.

Theft under $950 is a misdemeanor in California (potentially punishable by 6 months in jail), but there are several considerations:
It’s very difficult for a store to detain someone. There’s a good chance you’d botch the rules and subject the employer to a lawsuit from the person who was allegedly stealing.
California doesn’t have a serial offender rule. That means that each case of misdemeanor theft is a separate incident. Say you steal that much from five stores in a row. The DA can’t add those five up (in amount or “volume”) and make it a felony.
They can’t consider past incidents of shoplifting even if you were convicted or pled guilty.
The police can only issue you an appearance ticket unless warrants come up for you. That means you get a ticket and are let go, on your honor to appear on your hearing date.
You can be sentenced to jail (I think it’s up to 6 months) but the chance of that happening is remote. The jails are so overcrowded as it is that even if you did get time, it might be reduced to a couple days
As a result, stores often don’t bother calling the police. If they do, it’s not a priority crime for the PD. Keep in mind that this is unarmed robbery only, with no threats of violence. This doesn’t cover the smash-and-grab robberies that make the news. You also have to keep your theft to under $950 per store as you go on your spree.
How, you might ask? According to a video done by the Sacramento County DA, some merchants report seeing people going around with calculators. They’ll pick up items, keep a running tally and at some point (presumably when near the limit) walk out.

    • @Usammityduzntafraidofanythin
      @Usammityduzntafraidofanythin Před rokem

Stores should have the power to jack up the price on any specific item at random without having to list it on an item, and at any time at all, even after the fact if no purchase was made, and the robber has no receipt.
That way, if they steal a toothbrush, the store can say to police "that specific toothbrush cost 1000 dollars, so now he's a felon, looks like. Oopsy doopsy." Just find out where said toothbrush was listed on the inventory, and attach a new price to its code when the police come in to investigate.
Cop: "Hey, why does this toothbrush cost 1000 dollars."
Manager: "We're a store, and we can charge whatever we want on any item."
      Cop: "Oh."

here let me phrase it in a more understandable way.
if the vast majority of the human population is out of work and therefore receive no wages who's going to pay for the commodities these grifting bugman companies produce and how is the government going to rake in tax revenue?
neoliberal capitalism requires endless growth and expansion to sustain itself that's why execs will never be sated nor go for more sustainable growth models and always try and invent new ways of shaking down the customer think (macro transactions DRM anti repair bullshit ect...) a similar thing with the government it is an entity that literally lives or dies on your taxpayer money without enough people to rake dry into the pot all those social programs and infrastructure we all use like roads Medicare and schools fall into disrepair...
there is also the aspect of people needing work to keep sane you see humans who don't work actually become depressed I experienced the NEET lifestyle before it's miserable and soulless countless studies have also been done on the subject exposing this.
this is why despise all this astroturfed AI bs it's a greed fuelled bubble pushed by degenerates who have no idea of the dystopia there going to create.

They then keep around the handful of people who cant be gotten rid of with AI plus a small breeding population then they mao or stalin off the "rabble" until you hit a sustainable point between having enough humans around to do tasks an AI is either unable to do or for which its still cheaper to employ a human.
These type of people could care less if they kill off 99% of the population so long as THEIR needs and wants are met by whatever computer programs or literal slaves are needed. That just means more for them. Dark outlook? Absolutely, but they have openly admited in many cases to wanting to reduce the human population.
