  • Our lead story: during Thursday’s proceedings in the multiple murder trial of Manitoba’s Jeremy Skibicki-whose lawyers claim he’s not criminally responsible due to mental illness for the killing of four Indigenous women-the Crown calls his estranged wife to the stand in support of their argument that Skibicki knew what he was doing and that it was racially motivated.

My son is getting hate at school because he is White. He never hurt a living soul. Please stop making everything about race. He has no where to turn. If you think "good" because of colonization, you are just as bad as they were.

      Public Service Announcement:
Statistics Canada: "Court Outcomes in Homicides of Indigenous Women & Girls/2009-2021":
81% of indigenous women/girls murdered in Canada knew their killer (intimate partner/acquaintance/family member) and in 86% of those cases, the person accused of their homicide was also indigenous.
In fact, overall stranger homicides were LESS COMMON among indigenous victims (8%) verses non-indigenous victims (12%) of women/girls killed.
      Just setting the record straight.
And anyone who targets another human being because of their race are called "RACISTS!" Your son did nothing wrong. I love the little animal in your picture. I wish you and your son peace.🌺💓
