I am very excited to be making my house debut with Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf!
Ottavio always holds a very special place in my heart and I can’t wait to bring him back this fall! - Charles Sy - Tenor
I would totally put my trust in this Don Ottavio!
Bravo , Bravo !!! Excellent !!! Beautiful voice and singing . I used to sing this years ago , my singing teacher used to say if you can sing Mozart you can sing anything .
Ugh, so good. The diminuendos, pianos and crescendos, the light classical tones, the evenness of the sound body and quality, the ease and fluidity of execution, the context connection to the song's story, and the intensity that's both heard in the singing and seen in the eyes of the performer and felt by the audience. Bravissimo, Charles!
Would you mind giving me some feedback on some pieces I've sang? :)
You seem to know music well
agreed
Excellent!
First time I've ever respected Don Ottavio. Well done brother!
finally, don ottavio who is not p-whipped
this is the most macho version of the aria i've heard.
this is the ottavio who is not p-whipped
Great!!
Oh oh oh....................................................soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood ! Mozart is the tenor's devil. So hard to sing well. Here absolutly beautiful (technic and acting)
Bravo! This is flawless.
Stunning!!! Bravo Eddie!
BRAVISSIMO!
Every day/3x=sunshine & health!
Beatiful voice. But here is problem. Ashiugar is whole word.
It’s asciugar. But why do so many singers pronounce the “i”? I think the pronunciation is “cercate d’asciugar”, not “di asciugar”. Take for example Fritz Wunderlich. Any opinion? Is there an Italian in the room ?
1:40 he stole a breath????? I could do it without taking a breath.
Taking a breath or a lift is common practice in this repertoire. As a matter of fact, not taking a breath or lifting takes away from the musical gesture that the aria tries to convey.
