- I was so surprised how quick this rooftop tent went up , I thought I should share it....
First night in and I slept like a baby. So much roof I could off done a backflip. Kidding. But the video will show you what I mean.
Please enjoy @TheAnacondaAdventure @DriftaCamping4WD @RoofTopTent
It would have been good to have seen you taking it down and time it as well ❤
Thanks ENJOYED your review
Thanks Victor
Great review. Cheers.
Hey mate just been looking at these for my trailer saves getting my swag out when I'm camping with my dog or on a long trip up north.
The only pain is to put the cover back on. But it only takes 5mins
非常好的视频,谢谢你。
Great review
👌
Really good review thought it took you longer to set up then saw the timer .
Super quick. Thanks for watching
Would love to see a review of your Jeep and the modifications you’ve made. Keep up the great videos mate.
Thanks David. I haven’t done much to the Jeep at this stage besides the battery box set up.
Hey Mate, great video, quick question what roof racks do you have with your setup, did you have 3 rails or just 2 rails ?
Hey mate, only two rhinos but I wouldn’t recommend it. Look up chief racks which is made for the JC
How come you don't recommend it? I'm having trouble finding a suitable rack for a 73kg RTT
Good review mate, i might be wrong but was under the impression those types of roof racks have a max payload of 100kg, can you confirm please.
Your 100% correct. That’s moving load. Static load is a little more. The tents as is sits at 45kg empty. With me in it it sits at 135kg
@@JustAnotherReviewwithAlek Did not know that, makes sense. Thanks
Thanks for this review. I understand that the whole package is tightened by hand onto the load bars. Are you not concerned that someone might take it off and steal it while your car is unattended?
Hi, thanks for watching. Since this video I have purchased a camper trailer to put the tent on. But back then, I used two locknuts on each tie down. But after readying some specific on the rhino bars. I was at the weight limit, even though I was just under and legally allowed to have the tent up there. I took it off.
Nobody’s stealing rooftop tents. It’s stuff around your camp site like chairs, table, lantern that would go missing, but unless someone owns that particular RTT, they won’t know how it works.
thanks for the review. just a question, what's car you have this tent on. i got a subaru forester 2014. got a antenna at back on the roof. not sure if could fit on or not.
2013 Jeep grand. We needed to unscrew the antenna unfortunately. But everything still runs fine
Did you get the tent? Do you like it on your forester? I have a 2014 forester too and thinking about getting this tent. If you did, can I ask did you get the 120 or the 140 widths? I am concerned it might be too wide for the car
@@annaraith6008 I end up a yakima tent. as your concern, this model does too big for my forester. When I checked it at shop, size looked ok because it's a unfolded state. but when it's packed up, it become 2.2 m long and 1.6 m wide. certainly a big "dish" on top of a "small" subaru.😂😂😂
@@hailin8488 thsnk you for the swift reply.
Have you had any issues with condensation under the mattress?
Gday. No not yet. However in my king I did. The good thing about this tent floor it’s not a solid base. It’s a breathable floor. But some have added a further sponge base just in case
Not being mean, but working at a panel beater shop and seeing how much weight we can have on our roof should be looked at. Anymore of that weight can cause damage to the roof and if not cant be claimed on insurance.
I agree mate. And feedback is always appreciated. After that trip we removed the tent off the roof. Jeep told us that we can have up to 100kg on the roof which was incorrect. The tent is now on a trailer. Thanks for commenting
@@JustAnotherReviewwithAlek No worries, I wouldn't even listen to them anyways. I wouldn't even go over 50kg on my Old Hilux.
