Hello Griya. Big fan of your work but if you see the rubber dam on the distal box when you are filling it, don’t you think that this is going to leave an overhang? Thank you

Hello Dr Griya, amazing work you do. Not many dentists like you these days.
Do you have an office in the US?

I see many comments in the thread about his matrix placement. Remember dentists, YOU DIDN't DO THIS RESTORATION!! The textbook says the matrix band needs to be totally contoured to the tooth, it doesn't mean he didn't get a nice result with this case. We've all been there where a matrix doesn't fit perfectly. Depending on the case you can use a sharp scaler to removed overhangs. None of us have a radiograph to prove it caused an overhang. Quit harping on one of our own who obviously does a good job with his restorations.

The matrix isnt attached to the tooth surface, u filled over the rubber dam man..
What about the remaing soft dentine in the gingival seat? Its going to cause leakage in future hence failure of the restoration..

shut up. if he removes any extra dentin it will DAMAGE the human's actual real tissue. the point of medicine is too PRESERVE as much healthy human tissue as possilbe. everything is not about shaving, drilling, and removing. notice how precise he is. most dentists would actually burr down the tooth to the very floor and just drown the entire tooth in composite and do a bad job.

@@patricke8429 you dont have manners, nor any knowledge about this topic...
it isnt a healthy tissue that need preserving..

Buen terminado estético, sin embargo aún tiene caries en interproximal, se observa tejido dentario contaminado, mal ajuste de banda en contorno, muy probable fracaso en tratamiento…

The matrix isnt ‘t good adapted and the profile of the tooth won’t be good for the healing of gingiva and cleaning the interproximal surfaces…

Poorly adapted matrix band, and the patient should have been advice to get a new silver amalgam restoration instead of an inferior composite restoration

@@incudust953 Then they should be adviced to get a gold inlay. 100% biocompatible, far safer than composite, and the best restoration you can get. Will easily last a lifetime. It's more expensive to get in the first place, but since it lasts way longer, the lifetime cost is lower.

@@honestdentist3150 really appreciate your view. Amalgam is 100 percent safe and is been used from 600 AD. it is very effective in preventing progressive soft decays. A well done amalgam filling will last a life time. Composite filling is another form of plastic. it can leach .Leakage is very common and within few years , the decayed tooth will need rcts and crowns and subsequently extraction.
