I earned my Medical Degree from UC Irvine and completed my residency in Dermatology at UCLA. Upon completing my residency, I joined the full-time faculty at UCLA as a Clinical Instructor and Professor in Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. I then went on to complete advanced fellowship training in Dermatologic Surgery at UC Davis and Cosmetic Dermatology at the Laser and Skin Surgery Center of Northern California with world-renowned expert, Dr. Suzanne Kilmer. After fellowship, I was appointed the Director of Dermatologic Surgery at the Laser & Skin Surgery Center of Northern California where I remained active in clinical trials and have been on the forefront of the latest advances in aesthetics and dermatology. As an Orange County native, I love the SoCal community and currently enjoy being a Dermatologist in Newport Beach, CA.
My areas of expertise include cosmetic dermatology with a focus on injectable neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin), as well as dermal fillers (Juvederm, Voluma, Volbella, Vollure, Sculptra, Restylane, Belotero, and Radiesse). In addition, I travel nationally and internationally where I teach other physicians injection techniques and about the latest advances in dermatology. I am highly-trained in the use of lasers and energy-based devices to treat all aspects of photoaging, including fine lines, wrinkles, skin laxity, brown spots and facial vessels. I offer a comprehensive approach to body contouring with the use of minimally-invasive procedures. In addition, I specialize in Dermatologic Surgery including Mohs micrographic surgery, blepharoplasty, skin cancer excisions, sclerotherapy, surgical earlobe repair and cosmetic tattoo excisions.

Hi Dr. Stefani, I so appreciate how straight you are with your followers and how thoroughly you explain everything you do. My question is, when we order things through your office, Mary, is she able to order now, or is there a delay in the shipping because of the quarantine?
Also, when you ask people if they prefer 12:30 p.m. or 9:30 p.m. for your Instagrams, you may want to remind them that you're referring to Pacific time, because, for those of us in the Eastern time zone, it would be 12:30 a.m. if decided to do them at 9:30pm your time, which might be a bit too late for some of us. Thanks!

I was thinking about buying a Qyksonic. Would my daughter (11 years old and has some mild acne) also be able to use it if I make sure it is clean between uses or should she have her own? Thanks!

Hi! This is a little off topic, but all of the places to get dysport around me are closed and I'm seeing the frown lines between my brows creeping back in ( it's been about 6 months). Are there any products I can use at home to lesson their appearance or movement in this area until I can schedule an appointment?

I’ve been on it. I break out now and it also damaged my liver. I have cystic acne on my cheeks now and get hormonal breakouts. I definitely want to see a dermatologist again and see what I can do now instead of going back on accutane.

I’ve been on .05% Tretinoin cream for 3.5 months. Use it every other day. I have VERY oily skin. Have seen drastic results on my acne. But never moisturized before or after the retinoid. (I do moisturize every morning & on the nights I don’t use tretinoin) Is this a bad thing? I never went through the irritation nor drying phase while using this drug. Should I start moisturizing before or after? Or can I continue the way I’m going about this? I just don’t wanna dilute the product. Thank you for all your amazing videos! ❤️

Is there an alternative to spironolactone for hormonal acne? I had horrible side effects to it and it outweighed what it did for me.
