    Hi Gabi,
Thank you for sharing your journey. So interesting to see your fountain pen collection is growing.
I’m in the beginning of fountain pen journey. And I’m happy to see another pen enthusiast from Indonesia. Please keep posting and sharing in the future, because I would like to watch more.

I received a Platinum Preppy in a Pen Club gift exchange! I've since inked it with Platinum Carbon Black and use it often to address cards and letters! That orange faceted pen is really cool, I like it!

The orange one is also a Platinum.. it’s called Little Shooting Star. But I never seen it being reviewed or sold by any one else.

Thank you for sharing your journey! Makes me want to return to a platinum preppy and fill it with carbon black ink!

Thank you for initiating it! Yes.. platinum carbon black is such an underrated ink, isn’t it. But I wish more options or samples are available in Indonesia.. I love watching you swatching all those inks, Liane.

@@gabi_xu Haha, thanks for watching. Penabling is fun. I love seeing pens others review cause it inspires me too.

Great video! Thank you for sharing. 🥰 I love carbon black as well! It’s such great, reliable ink. Also a big fan of ina-ho, but I’ve only got a sample of it, so I’m savouring it. 😅 I find Ferris Wheel Press’ Goose Poupon comes close as a substitute, but it’s a little brighter and green compared to Ina-Ho which is a bit more earthy and brown.

Ah! Thank you.. will look for the goose poupon when I am finished with my inaho

Hi Gabi I’m new here, there are a couple of people have seen from Indonesia and they are able to buy pens, but like you said, it seems to be more expensive and limited quantity available. But it’ll be fun to see where your fountain pen hobby takes you!

    • @gabi_xu

Thank you! I am definitely saving for my holy grail pens. I love writing with fountain pens. Much more comfortable for my hand.
Yes. We have Gramedia (physical store) that has Parker and Lamy that slowly switching into ballpoints. You can’t even buy Parker’s cartridge converter anymore.
Some small online vendors in market place platform sell more brands rather sporadically.. a few TWSBI here and a few sailor’s there.. but not like Japan where you have one whole floor of shops dedicated for fountain pens. Or like the US that has Goulet, Atlas, Yoseka, Jetpens.. etc.
So if I want something, I usually ask these small vendors (they are very sweet) whether they are going to get this pen with this nib.. or certain bottle of inks… then wait for a few months until they are available. Simple stuffs like nib floss sheet … finally bought them.. after almost two years into the hobby.
I guess the demand for fountain pens itself is not big enough for bigger operations/ store. Most of us prefer ballpoints/ gel pens as writing instruments.
