I am a fan of exotic supercars, and I have driven around Monaco (in a rental) . I must say it’s the most most pointless place in Earth to own/drive a supercar .
There is no parking anywhere, or it’s almost impossible to find. At any time of the the day you’re lucky to hit 30kmh. It’s pure posing, to just cruise around the crowded streets especially in summer…I sort of get it, but is that why you bought a $500,000 car? Chances are there is someone behind you who has something even more exotic and expensive than you…unless of course its the police.
Its probably just because its a way to represent your wealth

Another thing is driving around in your car just to show off isn't allowed as well, making more noise than necessary also isn't. Asked myself the same. Monaco is the hot spot of Young and Rich People showing off. And there are events like f1 and gumball. This tunnel is well known for f1. So if there are any events where car enthousiasts meet, then you’ll get this. Police is watching that it does not escalated. If you life there you will get sick if every 20yo riches son is raving his car like it is thefirst sports car onplanet. And they limiting access to the funnel with space between the cars doing show runs. If they would drive without space in between there would be many crashes- first stops due to people recording . Monaco this year is not as good as previous years. night time it just gets overrun with arseholes who just take the piss. you cannot move in traffic because of these people and the crowds that follow them standing in the middle of the road refusing to move. people showing off resulting in police chasing after and pulling people over making it even harder to get around in Monaco. top marques is officially ruined. Cars are damaged and its just crammed with pricks that have a huge ego. this video is a prime example of why I will not be taking my car to Monaco next year or any other year. its sad to see an amazing event turn to shit...

They arrested more than 50 cars during the Top Marques week for making noise. But unfortunately the police also seized cars that weren't doing anything but driving normally. They fined supercar owners for doing nothing and often even threatened us carspotters. Monaco Police seems to be very aggressive and insulting for no proper reasons.
Carspotter Jeroen looks like Monaco residents complain on loud noise. I also have loud car and I was in Monaco, but was driving calm, police saw me, but they did nothing. So is that all means, if I just want to ride there on top Marques, I still can have a problems? And what is car arrest? Do they take it somewhere, or they just fine you, and you can pay later?
