I disagree with this because most people are oppressed from a very young age. Self-oppression is instilled in most of us by society/parents/the media/governmental systems from a very young age - which makes it out of our control. And so it is without ‘consent.’ Or rather - it isn’t a conscious decision to give them our consent.
Thats a typical form of internalized racism that can be dealt with.
