Il really loved this tutorial! It's amazing.. Thank you very much, good job David! But I wonder if is it possible to make a looping (seamless) effect with all this stuff to cteate a perfect GIF without any jump? Thank you again:)
I see your comment was from 2 years ago. But I believe you could. You just need to create keyframes at the end where everything ends up where it started (you might need to duplicate layers, or just an instant transition, because obviously you don't want things falling up). The only tricky issue that I see would be possibly the jitter effect applied to the light, because it's random; but it might be not be noticeable, or could be faded in/out so it's not happening during the seam of the loop. Also, you would probably want to cut the zoom (and maybe the panning), because zooming in and then back out could look weird.
If you are trying to animate this from an already layered out photoshopped picture where the foreground and the background are teo separate entities, does that still allow for this animation to be done?
Awesome! This is what i was looking for. I have a question. I can’t render on h264 or on QuickTime. I get an error each time. I’m using a windows 10 pc and a paid subscription of After effects. If I render as .avi the file is huge. I would appreciate any tips for rendering. Thanks.
Nice! Just subscribed. Only trouble I see is you've still got just a still photo. What would be the point? Maybe a slide show or something? Otherwise, this would be great for a green screen video shot.
Exactly that, a slightly more fancy looking slideshow. I've had a few clients as me for this and it's never disappointed! Certainly the idea of using keyed footage in this 3D space would work very well and add to that perception of depth even more.
Nicely done man. Love the mic in the shot, just because it doesnt matter! I liked the pacing, very crisp. Definitely gonna take a page from the DoD book and apply it to my Fusion channel.
Why do creators think badly slurping coffee at the start of a vid is good video? It literally makes no sense. if you're showing you love coffee...raise the mug to the audience. If you're showing you can't drink properly...crack on slurping on camera! :)
What if I'm wanting to prove there's actually something in the mug? And what if I successfully mislead you to believe that what's in the mug is in fact coffee? 🤣
I watched your video a lot of times! And after almost a year I have built a super simple automatic 2.5d animation tool!
A year does not sound as super simple....
That is a very good tutorial. and you're a very good tutorialist, great voice, good details. all the good stuff!
Thank you. One of the best tutorials I have seen regrading this effect.
I love that you care about details in your tutorials >> Thanks you so much for that
i couldnt find download link for images layer in description
What an amazing tut! Followed along from Photoshop to AE. Really appreciate it and love the teal and orange addition at the end. Thank you!
Amazingly helpful, so clearly explained. You just greatly enhanced a project I'm working on! Thank you!
Awesome!!
Superb, the devil is in the detail for sure. I think I'm most impressed by your ability to select a teal first go.
LOL
Looking forward to the next track dude! Reckon you could lay down some arpeggios? :-D
Sure thing :) Crazy busy here at the mo so may well be into next week before I get to the upload sadly.

Great video.

Yeah of course, you just save yourself the whole photoshop cutout process! 👍

Tim Galletas can you send to Media Encoder? That will allow you to export a more final codec like h.264
you, my dude, know what the fuck you're doing! gr8 tutorial, thank you
