- I have been in love with UMX planes since I first started flying RC Airplanes. The first few I had were 1s powered so it is amazing to see how far these little things have come. On 3s this E-Flite P-51 Mustang really comes alive and the Detroit Miss paint scheme is absolutely stunning. In my opinion, no matter how big into the hobby you get.. There will always be a place for these amazing RC Airplanes!!

I absolutely love the UMX line of planes. They are great to keep in the car, and fly anywhere.

Why is it so many people in RC flying think P-Factor is the only left-turning tendency? There's also Torque, Spiraling Slipstream, and Gyroscopic Effect. Same plane, new paint job.
I mean they basically cured the irl mustangs faults and put more power in it.
Better engineering than Boeing
I'd recently buy the VolantexRc A6M Zero, and it's a blast to fly, it's 400mm width and still so fast and agile.
Just purchased this plane!!! ✈️ it’s my first ever Rc plane and I’m so excited 😆 at first I wanted the eflite Habu but my parents said they didn’t want me to own a 70mph jet 😂 instead I suggested for me to get this and they agreed I can’t wait for it to come and you have inspired me so thank you😊

10:00 I use to fly stunt kites with lines between 20 and 40 meters long. One day I misjudged the distance between me and a treeline and my $200 kite ended in a tree with the frame and lines stranded at a height of about 5 to 6 meters... It was a remote place (no car access)... I had to go back home (a one hour walk) and build a customed pole with plastic tubes and tape. I spent 2 hours the next morning to get it down luckily with no damage... Since then I bought a laser range finder that I use before any flight (be it kite or RC aircraft) 😊

I love these little UMX planes! I have the Voodoo; it's a great flier. I'm amazed at how fast it eats up the real estate for a tiny plane. My only complaint is the battery tray; I wish it was a little bit bigger. I have trouble fitting some of my older packs. Where are you from in New York, Long Island?

Nice review! I have the same umx. I noticed that the ailerons are not equal in deflection left to right. Is this correct? Your mustang i think shows the same.? Cheers kian
Ailerons should be level unless trimmed otherwise for level flight! You can adjust them by pinching the little “U” on the servo control arms under the plane

The reason I don’t fly umx planes that much it because they can’t land for shit umx timber is an exception and maybe the 3d planes
Even though it is a very small RC plane, it seems to fly very stably.
I just don't understand how they haven't made a umx viper. Or why the umx planes don't get thrust reverse. Seems like a no brainer considering how they had trouble keeping the viper in stock
A UMX viper would be cool. I do think they need to make some cool 30mm jets
@Jays_rcgarage absolutely. And thrust reverse would make the micros so much more capable. Yea they can take off in a very short distance but landing takes some space
I wish they would add retracts. I would pay another $50 for retracts.
