I had the privilege of meeting this captain in person while doing some shopping at a shopping mall here in Madrid. I recognized him and approached him, and he turned out to be an awesome guy. Very kind, we ended up talking for about 45 minutes about this video, his career, Airbus, etc.
With you there... its not that we don't want to but it requires us to author a new program for DVD as we only did Blu-ray and I have to say we have about 7 months worth of work sitting in our studio so not sure I see it anytime soon but we shall try...
Very good, excellent in quality and detail recording booth for us aviation enthusiasts. I always watch your videos. Greetings from Caracas, Venezuela Come make another recording of our airlines.
I would add to that that any title available on DVD on our website would not be up for the Download Store, only sold out DVD titles and older programs never released on DVD are being considered for downloads.
I figured the reason was the conversion process or something like that. That explains alot as far as people wondering why all the DVD's aren't on the download store yet. Thanks for the explanation.
I still remember to this day a time I was listening in to ATC comms in Tenerife and an Iberia shuttle flight came onto approach and spoke in English and the approach controller responded in Spanish. This went on for a good 5 comms between them before the controller just switched to English!
I know people have made this comment before but, I hope you decide to put this video in the download store. I'm going to look at Blu-Ray players today but, since I don't watch movies, purchasing one for just this video will be difficult because I like to watch these on my PC.
It is called Density Altitude,High density altitude conditions reduce an airplane's performance because the engine is now taking less air to support combustion so power is reduced + High gross weight..
I was always under the impression that all ATC comms not matter where in the world had to be in English, even if e.g. Mexican airport and Mexican airline. Can someone please explain this. Thanks.
I'm not a pilot or even somebody who flown an airplane but that instrument panel looks a little sparse, no doubt it has the minimum. This is my imagination or does anything else notice it?
Something iv'e noticed in all Justplanes Iberia programs: Iberia pilots don't speak to controllers in Latin America in Spanish and vice versa. It's just a bit odd to here controllers speak to everyone else in this video in Spanish, save for Iberia. Any thoughts on why this might be?
Not so strange if the engine is concerned by a high EGT limitation that required to shut down the engine if this limitation is exceeded more than five seconds.
When your flying in a thunder storm I only went through the middle of a storm once and I will never forget I was awaken by my brother saying hey get the camera so I grab my camera and film us flying through a thunderstorm it was a light show it lasted 3 hours and we were flying from Tokyo to st Louis in a private business jet so ya NEVER DOING IT AGAIN!!!
***** I think you get more control with the joystick, I felt the same when I first saw the Airbus systems, but your flight position is a lot more stable and better access to in-flight controls and visual equipment. you get some pretty high-tech, new designs when you fly on the new mid-sized business jets, sadly I get stuck with the light-weight Cessnas
Jaretos99 Because pilots have to use ICAO English standardized communications. If you want to fly outside of your country of origin, you need to pass and english language/pilot-phraseology examination and get at least ICAO English Level 4 endorsed on your pilot license.
This Iberia crew choose to speak English. They are allowed to speak Spanish to Mexican ATC because Spanish is one of the official ICAO languages just like French, English, Chinese, Russian etc.
jaretosr English is spoken throughout the aviation industry to avoid any confusion among pilots and between pilots and air traffic control. Confusion like this contributed to the Tenerife disaster in 1977. That lightning was incredible!!

gracias capitán por sus videos
wowww amazingly beautiful cockpit...!!!

That makes perfect sense. Thank you.
Very nice!
Wow, the cockpit is really pretty

Nice one!
Amazing
great !
WOW AMAzING videooo
i wis i could be in the cockpit when a take off is happenng
hahaha thanks! Mwaaah back! :)
Not only consider the 340-300 power or the weight, but the elevation of MMMX too, i think it's about 7.000fd...
Great video! Where were they flying to? Perhaps I missed that part.
JustPlanes you're more than just planes. Mwaaah
nice video. how far away would you think the lightening were?

why was there a long gap betwn V1 and Rotate?..could someone explain it to me?
is the apu used during cruize flight the whole time?
long T/O run expected with the underpowered A340-300 but still a fabulous airplane
best job in the world
It is called Density Altitude,High density altitude conditions reduce an airplane's performance because the engine is now taking less air to support combustion so power is reduced + High gross weight..
Where was this flight going to?
why did the FO say "pressure decline" instead of "positive rate"?
Why did he have so much time in between V1 and VR?
No IB 343 anymore.. they replaced all 343s by 333s
I think the same way
I was always under the impression that all ATC comms not matter where in the world had to be in English, even if e.g. Mexican airport and Mexican airline. Can someone please explain this. Thanks.

That is a very automated aircraft so allot is done by computers. You dont see half of what is going on.
You can switch easily what you want to display on the screens in the cockpit
You forgot to mention the bumpy runway - wow very mexico-ish lol
It´s not the runway, it´s a knot on the tire.
Nice *-*

in england here the thunder ain't that bad

He said "positive climb"
I know the controller TWR MEX :)
a340-600**
FABULOUS SUPERB VIDEO! But the A-340 is such a pig on the runway....accelerates so SLOW!!!
The density altitude certainly doesn't help.
7300 ft in Mexico city affects all aircraft. Nice gap between V1 and rotate.
carleton morris a340-300 yes a340-500/600 no
carleton morris certain models yes, the A345, no💖
Iberia 340-6000
Which A340 was in this video?
Both the 300 and 600... you can just click on the link in the description to get all the details...

+macfan999 I think that is an Iberia Airbus 340-500 that is the only Airbus 340 that flights to Mexico City
+JustPlanes in the video was this an a340-300 or 600?
+Hakim Clark a340-300
Almost every 55 seconds an airplane lands and other takeoff in that airport...
looks like an A340 to me
arnt all Aircontrollers required speak English ?
They flew by the airport that i fly out of phl :-)
In normal circumstances, should there not be that request, communication should be in Spanish.
Why do they speak English in México? They speak spanish...
Jaretos99 Because pilots have to use ICAO English standardized communications. If you want to fly outside of your country of origin, you need to pass and english language/pilot-phraseology examination and get at least ICAO English Level 4 endorsed on your pilot license.
Jaretos99 English is the standard language for Air Traffic (easiest language to learn)

Give me ur brain please 💔
