[SFM/FNAF] Built in the 80s (By: Griffinilla and Toastwaffle)

- Hello world!
It’s been quite a while since my last solo project hasn’t it? Well, I’m back, and with something I’m, actually, pretty proud of! (Except those FNaF2 parts). This was kind of an ambitious project for me. I wanted to do new things and dip my toes into experimenting with different techniques and styles. Some styles you might recognize from other animators ;)
I’ve been in a pretty depressive state for the past few weeks leading up to the release of this video. I’m trying to fix my social life (on and off the internet) and try to figure out how to guide my future by planning out which college I’m going to and, the thing that’s gotten me the most depressed, how to pay for my college. (It’s 52k a year). It’s gotten so bad that I just intentionally skip school days because I’m just so sad and don’t want to talk to anyone.
One thing I knew was that I HAD to finish this video. I wanted to do a solo project so I can know I have the work ethic to do my own thing, and not have to rely on collabs to fuel the channel. A bonus to this, is that I can add this video to my portfolio to try and get more scholarships.
If you want to check out some behind the scenes stuff for the project, check out my ArtStation Post on the project here:

Special Thanks to:
TheDapperPenguin - For help in scene building the drive-in theater.
EndyArts - Modeling the upper torso for the “Spider Puppet”.
The Denizens of the “Embers” Group Chat - The support you’ve all given to finish this project.
Bixlor - Somehow, actually motivating me to finish this. :P

Fabulous, amazingly original
The dog himself has appeared once more, I was gonna ask about special strike but it’s probably not gonna get an answer because others usually nag to get the answer. All I’m gonna ask is has it been on hold? Or have things needed to be fixed? As you said it was gonna be released early febuary late January.
The special strike is lit can't wait for part 2 and I couldn't agree more with your review of this animation

Can you make a Fnaf song called BURN THE HOUSE DOWN please.
Now this started so damn "normal" for a Fnaf animation, but as soon as all the meta stuff got introduced I found myself very ingrossed with what I was watching, loved it
❤
I like the 80's feel to the animation
O o
lemon and lime what 80s feel
Found you again Brit
While the beginning was a bit of a "already saw it billions of times", the comics part was a surprising good breath of fresh visuals I don't think I ever saw in an other fnaf video. Finally originality ! Excellent job !
Yeah this is by far the best fnaf sfm for any song

There is a few other really cool sfms. My favorite is dream your dream female cover on five nights music. It's a surreal twist with the old nightmare models with a creepy marionette model

Also looking at the FNAF 6 comic cover's made me realize how bad Scraptrap's side view is oh my GOD scott
Hey Coda! Can you do a FNAF Song Animation called Lots of Fun?
Well that's not how Afton looks like, there is a better one in SFM somewhere, plus just look at Afton in the UCN roster or on wiki to get a glamorous look at his side.
Coda coda coda coda
X2 coda! 😏

Honestly, one of the best and most original FNaF SFMs I've ever seen. I can't find any part in this I didn't enjoy watching.

Its so true. I loved it!

The springtrap part where he was looking through the hole in the poster was awesome, something out of Jurassic park
Bro I was thinking that, my favorite part probably was that part. Finally someone who had the same idea as me lmao. Honestly that scene should be in a fnaf game or movie
“Looking like horror movie" hits even harder knowing a actual movie is coming
The most original FNaF animation to ever exist. Loved how you added those 80-like things and how you featured "merchandises" and all of that. Great work!
Mechanical Instinct collab still beats it for me, but this one was super cool.

oh, nice
Enforma hello
3:21 remember when this fnaf song predicted the future?
yooo
3:22 man this part hit hard now
My compliments!
You did a spectacular job on this one for sure!
Especially such parts as 00:10, 01:47 and 02:37 stand out to me due to their uniqueness that massively draws more attention to it, I highly suggest you develop more into these area's to shape an unique aspect to your work so it can stand out from the surplus of animators that inhabit this community.
With that positive comes a negatives, of course. The main issue I encounter throughout the video is that, apart from the, priorly mentioned sequences, the rest of the scene's only act as filler to serve the narrative told in the soundtrack. What this causes, is that they kinda dwindle down in enjoyment to watch. With an initial watch, it's not apparent as much as a returning viewer to this video. Don't mistake me, they have to be there and nobody can except each and every scene to be as engaging as the sequence's I pointed before, the challenge lies in theorizing about every scene and planning it out, allowing you to properly think about each scene as much as you did with the scene's I pointed out.
I can tell you took time to concept those scene's in how they will work and fit the song, and it shows for miles. In contrast, other scene's in and around 00:40, are not as properly thought out as the mentioned unique sequence's, but are probably animated on the spot.
Compare these two instances, by coming up with a solid idea that you built up to from 02:20 until the end of the comic book sequence, you created more thought-out and engaging content in comparison to the scene's in the FNAF1 scene's in the beginning. Food for thought.
In conclusion, you did well!
Thank you so much for the praise! Especially because I admired your work from 2016 onward during, what I call, "The Golden Age of FNaF SFM" (2016).
You are absolutely correct about scenes like Bonnie and Foxy jumping out of the curtains. Those were done on the spot because I couldn't think of how it could fit in with the rest of the theme of the video, being that all the games are some form of media or merchandise. (FNaF1 = PC Game, FNaF2 = Atari Game, FNaF3 = Drive-In Horror Film, FNaF4 = Comic Book, FNaF: SL = Toys). I so wish I could've thought of something better for those scenes. But there is always next time!
Once again, thank you so much for the compliments and criticisms. I'll be sure to use them to my advantage in the future!
Words of wisdom from the master.
A question, have you quit fnaf SFM? You haven’t uploaded anything to do with fnaf for a LONG time.
@@criteriaz5063
I have, I have started to develop in more of an artist rather then an animator. I'm in an university of film right now, as a matter of fact. If you are on my channel for FNAF content, don't expect any soon. I only do FNAF content as a freelancer for Jaze Cinema as of recently as a side job to earn some money. I might give notifications whenever a product of mine is on there. Furthermore, my channel is only for my own projects and whatnot. No FNAF dedicated for my own channel anymore.
MrBreino, do you enjoy it a lot more than what you’ve created in the past? And do you think you will ever return to sfm? Or are you still unsure right now? And if no to SFM, then good luck with what it is your doing.
This was very entertaining and well made, absolutely amazing!

Oh my god! This is the best Fnaf animation I've seen in a long time! The way you incorporated every section into some kind of game or movie, and especially the comic book part! This completely blew my mind! Definitely the music video this song has been waiting for! Fantastic work!!!

I was never really a fan of this song, but this, changed my mind.
I can not express how much I love this animation! I love the 80s style vibe this gives off! You also made the animatronics look so real it’s crazy! I loved the comic part and how you incorporated it with the lyrics! I also love how you include actual fnaf merch, like the books, plushies, and action figures! The transitions also are crazy!
In all I love this animation, TFCraft, you did great bro!
EVERYTHING WAS GREAT IN THIS ANIMATION! I love how you made it feel like it took place in the real world, especially with the bedroom with fnaf merch, and the movie part with Springtrap! In my own honest opinion, the fnaf 4 comic book part actually looked like something official! Amazing job! This is what FNaF content should be like!

I have to agree. That part where he splits every whitered into rectangles is pure godamn 80's. It's no wonder why I extremely Love that decade, even though I was born in 2005 lmao. Guess it's just because how they had their own style and transitions back then.
this is unironically extremely catchy. the lyrics piecing together in tandem with the tune is better than most
