I am studying in hobart. Hobart is the city that has least amount of jobs in Australia, yet I still managed this here, so you can definitely do this in Adelaide
I dont see any truth here. He got 23$ /hour. And he is saying he earned $550 in a week. so he needs to work 23.9 hour in a week for that. Also he needs to pay taxes. So it is clearly a bluff. And working here is not like dhakar mudir dokane chair e boshe boshe grocery sell kora. It's so much hard and physical work. and no way he is earning 550/week with 23$/hour. So here is the thing how can you manage your tuition fees. One straightforward answer is you can't. Australian govt don't want you to work here and then pay their own money to them again. They want you to bring money from overseas as this is the only way to improve their economy. It called education export. One thing you guys can do is bringing 1 year tuition fees. And manage jobs with around 30$/hour. and you can't get full 24 hours shift. you can manage at least 15-18 hours if your manager is good. After paying taxes you can earn upto 450-500$. But yes these are hard and extreme physical work. You need to concentrate on your studies, submit assignments as well. One thing you guys can do working on semester breaks. Like from october-february there is a huge vacatation. I worked really hard during this time and managed my one semester tuition fees. But then I got sick as I worked almost 7 days in a week and more than 45 hours in 7 days. So guys please be practical. Don't listen to this kind of bullshits. They only tell you this ultra positive things because this sells more. Nothing more. Ask people who are actually living here.
Hey buddy, so when I said $23 per hour, i meant I got $23 after tax. As I said I used to work after 6pm and on weekends(mostly sundays) so I used to get paid more due to extra loading. My base rate was $17-$18per hour after tax but due to extra loading it became $23 an hour after tax. Yes I know the work here is not as easy as moody’r dokaner jobs but trust me a lot of people around me work 24hours per week during semesters and 65+ hours per week during semester break.Yes I myself got a little sick as well but its just something you gotta do. I can guarantee that I am not bluffing about anything here. I can show you my pay slips as well to prove I got paid $550 working 24hours. If I had worked during the day time(before 6pm) or on working days then yes I would have made around $480-$500 per week but as I worked after 6pm and on weekends I got paid more. Trust me when I say this ALOT of international students here contribute upto 50-60% of their fees. Atleast i know ALOT of people who do so. And yes working more then 60 hours is not for everyone but then again ALOT of people do it during semester breaks. If you personally dont know anyone who contributes atleast 50% of their fees then you clearly dont have any friends who are very hardworking. If you cant work more then 60 hours per week then I personally think you should become more stronger and more hard working. I know people who work upto 90 hours per week, and if you cant work atleast 60 hours then you seriously need to be more hardworking. Yes working 60+ hours is very tough. But you gotta do it to pay your fees, theres no other option. Even tho the work is extremely physical, you gotta do it to pay your fees. I work in Woolworths nightfill, so that’s extremely physically challenging but I still managed. I also had very physically challenging works such as mcdonalds and Woolworths nightfill but i still managed to do these physically tough jobs for 70 hours per week. Yes balancing studies might be tough, but as I said all I did is study and work. I had no social life whatsoever. Thats how I managed my studies as well. Balancing studies is also tough but you gotta do what you gotta do.
My cousin has been living in Australia for 6 years now and he has managed his whole tuition fees alone alongside his rental fees. He has worked approximately around 89 hours per week for about 2 years. No one's denying its excruciatingly painful but its not impossible. I know a few other people who couldn't bring 1year's tuition fees due to their financial incapability but they managed it at the end. If you couldn't work for more than 50 hours per week then its just your personal incompetency, so you don't have to be salty towards others. A lot of people have done this before and is still doing it. He just cared enough to make a video out it.
