Shri Prakash Hegde :
Shri Prakash Hegde is an accomplished flutist of the Hindustani Music system. Born in a traditional and culturally rich family, he hails from Kallaremane, a small village in Siddapur Taluk, Uttara Kannada District of Karnataka State. In the initial days, he got his basic training in flute from Vidwan Prabhakar Bhat- Kerekai, Sirsi. Later he honed his flute playing skills and techniques under the tutelage of the renowned flutist late Pt. Venkatesh Godkhindi- Dharwad. In the ensuing days he got guidance from the internationally acclaimed flutist Pt. Raghunath Seth- Mumbai.
Presently Prakash Hegde has made Bengaluru his home. Being an Akashvani A Grade artist, he is a well-known flutist throughout the State of Karnataka. He has earned wide recognition both as a solo flutist and as a flute accompanist in classical and light music concerts. He has shared the First Prize Award with the other three artists in the National Level Instrumental Music Competition held by Padmabhushan Dr. N. Raja of Omkarnath Music Foundation, Mumbai. He has given memorable solo programmes in and around places like Mumbai, Lucknow, Chennai, Tirupati, Kumta, Sirsi and Sagar. He has participated in Jugalbandi programmes with Indian and Western musicians with great success. He has performed in many cultural festivals of Karnataka such as Kadambotsava, Karavali Utsav and Hampi Utsav.
Thus, Prakash Hegde has built up a successful bansuri career for himself. Some of the important programmes in which he has participated and performed are:
Jugalbandhi programme: Flute/Santoor in Mumbai.
Flute accompaniment to Bharatanatyam programme by the famous dancer Smt. Dhanu Ganapati in 2005.
Flute accompaniment to Odissi dance programme by the famous artist Hema Malini.
Flute accompaniment to the famous singer Anup Jalota’s many programmes in 2008.
Flute performances twice in USA.
Flute accompaniment to the dance programme by the famous dancer Maya Rao.
All these programmes speak of Prakash Hegde’s achievements and success in his music career. Many reputed musicians have blessed and encouraged him to scale greater heights in music. Presently he has established a music institute ‘Swarganga Sangeetha Academy’ in Bengaluru for imparting education in music and training students in playing flute

Pandit Shantalinga Desai :
Pandit Shantalinga Desai D.K. is one of the leading Tabla Maestro from Hyderabad Karnataka, India. Born on 1st June 1968 in Desai Kallur Village of Afzalpur taluk in Gulbarga Dist., born in family of musicians. He was introduced and initiated into Tabla at a very tender age of 6-7 years by his father who was a renowned Tabla Artist of Hyderabad karnataka region Pt. Shankarappa Hugar and received training and encouragement from his elder brothers. His keen and Deep interest parents to under the tutelage of legendary Tabla artist, Pt. Raghunath Nakod from whom he learnt many finger aspects of innumerable Tals and got acquainted with different gharanas like Ajrad, Dilli and Purab.
He joined the services of AIR Gulbarga in the year 1996 as a Tabla staff artist. He is now presently serving AIR Dharwad from 2017. He is honoured by "A Top" in Tabla by ALL INDIA RADIO PRASAR BHARATI. Today he is recognized as an accomplished tabla player of the country.
Pt. Shantalinga D.K. has performed solo recital in AIR national programmers and his concerts in abroad. He also shared his knowledge of Tabla in France, Switzerland, Paris from more than 5 years with music lovers musicologist.
Panditji has participated in many of the prestigious music festivals in India and abroad such as world Kannada meets, Manchestors, Landon, and Kalavistar Cultural exchange France Soloist and Tabla accompaniment.
He has been honoured by many esteemed educational, cultural and religious institutions. I am the recipients of Aryabhatt Cultural Award from Bangalore.
