I enjoyed your conversation, Scott and Patrick, and the Giro is great and I just hope Tadej isn't doing too much but whatever, his call and we shall see. And c'mon, you can't knock the Tour of Hungry, it is a big show for the people and the calendar is only so long, they can't not have it because of a concurrent event in Italy or wherever. And Peter was there and that's cool and GCN reported that Cav's win puts him ahead of Mario C. for the all-time sprint-win tally and good for him to stretch out his show and accolades. So let's cheer for all the races and we each have favorite events, even if minor to others. Like for me, the Frankfurt race is always huge because I lived there twice and in '75, as a 15-year-old American teen, I saw it in person. It was a bunch of German police cars with flashing lights and then, whoa, that's a pack of bike racers and this must be a big race, cool. And I got my bike onto the sidewalk and marveled at the spectacle. 😀
Jonas is on the bike and is making good progress. His Visma coach yesterday said he thought Jonas would be able to get in an altitude camp prior to TDF. I’m convinced Jonas will be on the start line at TDF. Pogacar is Pogacar, he can’t seem to save his energy when the opportunity avails itself. This may hurt him come the last week in France. The Giro is just a matter of Tadej staying upright from here on out. Good podcast gentlemen. I like Cian for the second step.
The worst of Jonas' injury was when another rider crashed into him while he was on the ground, I don't think he's going to have any sort of mental block
If Visma doesn't bring Jonas, who do they bring? You guys just said they have no depth.
Jonas sadly ain’t on the bike yet, I do. Not believe them
