Plans call for the Boeing X-32A and the McDonnell Douglas F-15 Streak Eagle to join the fourth building at the end of this month! #avgeek #history #afmuseum
Streak Eagle looks amazing! You guys did an awesome job restoring her! I look forward to seeing it when I'm at the museum in a few months. The X-32A...so ugly its beautiful. I've always liked the look of it. It reminds me of the A-7 Corsair II. Nicely done all!
Both are in a remarkable state of restoration given their sort of run-down state when they arrived. Kudos to all who participated in making them beautiful again. PS Yup. that Boeing is a very unique aircraft. Many would call it ugly. But I call it a winner. And many still wonder if it truly was the better of the F-35.
Streak Eagle is an F-15A that broke several time-to-climb records in 1975. It was stripped of paint and any unnecessary equipment to make it lighter than squadron F-15s. When the jet was retired and sent to the Museum it appeared in a standard gray scheme, to save it from corroding, being it was displayed outdoors.

Great to see the Streak Eagle. I remember the Air Force magazine article about it and the project from grade school days.
PS: Immelmann.

Those two still impress me!
Awesome seeing these two all good and well. Keeping aircraft in condition like that is expensive
An F-15 that still has it's Turkey Feathers. Awesome!
Can we get the F-107 back in Hangar Four again too!?
Wow. I thought I'd miss it but the day I go there is a few days after the exhibit is added, thank god.
I missed the SU-27 being added by five days.
What was the streak eagle? I’m not familiar with that variant

@@petes2353 Thanks!
Cannt understand how they would put out the x32a as a serious contender.
Ugly Ugly Ugly.
