Eden, New South Wales: A Small Town Gem

- The video takes you on a journey to the southernmost city in New South Wales, Eden. This quaint town borders Victoria to its south and is a popular spot for whale watching from May to November. Eden has a rich history with orcas, and visitors can learn about it by visiting the world-renowned Killer Whale Museum, which houses the skeleton of Old Tom, who used to help hunters by herding whales into the cove.
For cruise passengers, a shuttle bus takes you up the hill and into the city center, where you can explore the charming cafes, pubs, shops, and picturesque walks. Eden is also famous for its delicious oysters and the Mary Mackillop Museum, located on a clifftop in one of the first churches in the area.
However, the town was hit hard by the devastating bushfires of 2020. The video pays tribute to the heroic firefighters who saved the town's most important buildings, and despite the destruction, Eden still retains its charm and beauty.
