House Party - Short Film - 48 Hour Film Project 2022

A team of 1st year film students teamed up to compete in the Cape Town 48 Hour Film Project.
After weeks of gathering actors, a crew, locations and props we were finally given our genre and three elements that were required to be in the short film:
Genre: Mystery/Romance
Character: Paul/Paula Zwane
Occupation: Singer
Prop: An Invitation
Line: "Could this get any worse?"
Our team of writers stayed up all night on the 16th September and handed over the script at 2am on the 17th September, at which point the writers went to sleep while the rest of the team began preparation for the days shoot.
After experiencing some difficulties along the way, we produced this absurd, comedy/mystery short film and had a great time doing it.
A big thank you goes out to the entire crew for being so well organized, keen to participate and doing such a great job under so much pressure.
We would also like to thank our amazing actors and actresses, without whom we would not have been able to make this film a reality. They made the shoot extremely fun and made the telling of the story an easy process, with their natural talent, and hilarious on set improv.
