Amazing. It is so clear and simple, and it just works.
Thanks for your all videos.
Video was so helpful.Thank you ma'am🙏🙏🙏
Thanks! it is clear and visible video lectures! I have got what i need!
Glad it was helpful!
Best explanation so far.
Thank you for making the video.
You are welcome!
good illustration, like it so clear.
Excellent presentation and appreciated!
Thank you.
Madam your videos are awesome👏✊👍 I request you to please make a video about shearwall design, earthquake design, wind load design and also make a video series about full building design manual because there are no videos on CZcams about this topic it is extremely helpful for students. Thank you🙏💕
Thank you.sure will upload.stay tuned.
your teaching technic is very understanding easily. Mam make a video on pro, etabs and rcdc
I have created a course, structural design of buildings using Etabs software which includes structural analysis and design of a five-sorey RCC building(Real project) and is now available on udemy.

that was wonderful explanation ..thank you so much.
You are welcome!
Syukron 🙏
Hi maam. Can you help me please...
I have a problem in placing a column in floor plan design
Thank a lot madam

Very good job. Maam.. congratulations. ...
Thanks a lot
The same thing for steel member mam ? Please make video on ly lx parameters for staad pro?
@6:37. Green Arrow is the local Z-axis and it is the Major axis.
MY is the moment the about the Minor local Y-axis (Red Arrow)
Thanks for all your valuable knowledge sharing..
Can you please make a video on manual calculation of moments for G+1 building 🙏
Will try.

Madam , kindly explain How to assign Elx Ely values in STAAD Pro
Mam please make video on how to take parameters for steel structure in staad pro according to is code please mam
i have a doubt: If the force is coming in the direction of XX axis and how is that axis of bending is in YY axis ???
Thanks for the explanation, but Without using software, How should we orient our column in a structure? i.e. How should we decide in what direction column should face in the structure. Please help me ASAP
Please refer the below link for column orientation

Ma’am will axis of bending always be about y-y axis? And thus we always have to keep our column in such a way that y-y axis always be perpendicular to depth? Or it works the other way around too? Pls pls pls answer
No, it is not like that.Major axis is perpendicular to the depth of the column and minor axis is parallel to the depth of the column.
Please refer the below link for more details

Maam in practical it is not possible to design every column separately so,how to take decisions what to design. Cause in some colum major axis having greater moments and some having greater moment in minor axis. So
Practically, most of the columns we have to design for bi-axial moments considering both major and minor axis moments.

Nice video
Thanks
Hello, please provide a STAAD file of this demonstration. Many thanks.
Best explanation ,, thank you !!
You are welcome!
Depending on what we take formula db3/12??? Why all the time we take I as bd3/12 ( for any section in the world 😁)
can you explain it by using ETABS software?
Madam can u do more videos regarding to Concrete technology based on JNTUA syllabus it will be more helpful to all students

How you are mentioned in this video major axis moment and minor axis moment is different in different orientation of column in staad I think the staad output result will be in localaxis
Very simple, the concept is major axis is perpendicular to the depth of the column and the minor axis is parallel to the depth of the column.
yes staad output is local axis since it is the axis of individual structural member.
No not like that
You check in staad beam orientation and also moment of inertia
what is the major axis and minor axis if the column size is like 450x450 or 600x600??
There is no difference between major and minor axis of the square column unless the reinforcements are different in two perpendicular directions.
If both dimensions are the same which is the major and minor
both are same.
Can you explain thoroughly?
Isn't it that Mz is the moment bent about major axis?
My is the moment bent about minor axis?
I Need clarification for steel column design.
Major axis is perpendicular to the depth of the column and Minor axis is parallel to the depth of the column.
@@CivilEngineeringMastery thank you, but one more thing,
In steel column design, we need to find what Moment result in staad that causes the column to bend about minor axis and major axis?
If column size are 450 x 450 then major and minor axis
could please explain major and minor axis of i section
Sure will upload.
Madam how you get Ixx bd^3 why you not take it as db^3.
This is confusing..
It is a formula for moment of inertia depends on axis.
If square column
I have a residential black of three story building if I pay you will plan a strchr dzn
Can you e-mail me your detailed requirements which includes type of the building, location of the building, architectural plan etc.

Mam agr koi circular column ho and usma dimensions 300.300 mm ho to hm is ko kaisa solve kra I mean mam iska selenderness ratio 12 se km.nhi aa rha h ya hm dimensions change kr sakta h 😔
I want duplex plan majors 47 47 Ishq naat
Sorry small correction My is major axis moment instead of My is more and Mz major axis moment instead of Mz more
If you assign ZD= higher value and YD= Lower value Then only you will get My more otherwise you will get Mz more
Confusion ! Which is depth and which is breath... Because the x-section of column in Perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (i.e depth of column)...
Please correct if I am writting
Major axis is perpendicular to the depth of the column where as the minor axis is parallel to the depth of the column.
X & Y axis will remain same irrespective of column location.
smaller dimension is width B and larger dimension is depth D.
Hope this helps!!!
@3.14 minutes you used wrong formula for Ixx it should be bd3/12 na instead you used db3/12.
The formula is correct. If Ixx is the major axis then the formula is bd3/12. In this case, Ixx is the minor axis that's why the formula db3/12 is used.
The formula will differ according to the major and minor axis of the section.
Major axis - the axis which is perpendicular to the depth of the section.
Minor axis - the axis which is parallel to the depth of the section.
