- I spent 5D4N in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, last week. I was supposed to be sketching but it was too much work to be sketching, filming and taking a vacation at the same time. So I took reference photos to sketch back in Singapore instead.

Great video! I don't travel much so it's fun to "travel" with you in your videos. And what a lovely wife you have! Nice to see the family.
Oh....so nice to meet your beautiful wife! Thank you for taking us to another trip! Love your stuff!
Thanks for the great tour and for introducing Judy! You two make a cute couple. Glad you decided to enjoy your vacation without the pressure to sketch. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the reference photos.
I finally get to "meet" your wife, Judy. She is very pretty!🌸 Does she sketch too?
Look forward to seeing you put your vacation into your sketchbook. Thanks Teoh!
What a pleasant surprise!...So glad we finally got to meet your wife. (Pretty girl, Teoh. You make a cute couple.) 😊
Thanks (ᵔᴥᵔ)
So nice to 'meet' your lovely wife, Teoh! I hope you both enjoyed the time away.
Nice of you to show us your trip Teoh. I loved seeing the city and the food stands. Makes me wish I was there to sketch it all. Hope you and your wife had a great time.
Thanks for taking us along ..Hi Judy :)
I'm so nostalgic, I miss my country miserably ;;A;; I didn't even get to travel that much in Vietnam, I want to visit it so bad. The noodle is called "Bún Thịt Nướng" I think, and 3:53 is sticky rice, called "Xôi" I'm pretty sure that it is influenced by the Chinese, but ours are different. They have like different flavors with different color that dye from foods and vegetables (so colorful!!!) Also, the ball street food thing is meat balls, usually fish ball, shrimp ball, beef ball fried, they even have quail egg, etc. Vietnamese street foods is delicious, I need them 😂😂
Thanks for sharing. nice to meet you wife!
Such a visually rich environment splashed with color
Do you find while you wander that you see everything from a "could I draw this?" or "do I want to draw this?" perspective? I would guess you have more reference photos than you'll ever actually use, too. Thank you for a fun tour and bringing us into your personal world and meeting your lovely wife. Someday, I hope you will do a tour of your home studio, if you haven't already. Would love to see how the whole video station set up is from your end. Cheers and always a treat. :)
Oh yes, I could draw everything. Using a camera is less fun.
I don't actually have a home studio. I just shoot in my bedroom where I have a desk and on the other side is the wardrobe (commonly seen in most videos LOL) and bookshelves.
So wonderful to see your wife with you on a trip! Your sketches are impactful and clean, and i like them very much. I am still learning how to sketch and to watercolor, and your advice helps a lot. Thank you.
+StandsWithABeer Thanks 😁
amazing camera work!!
Teoh ...Thank you so much for taking us on your trip. I've seen all your videos and appreciate all your work... Your wife is adorable, very pretty and I wish you both much happiness. Probably better that only one artist in the family. LOL!
Thanks (▰˘◡˘▰)
what a great video! i almost feel like it was me who was filming! thank you for sharing your trip with us, and so nice of Judy to share as well ( you lucky guy!) !
Cám ơn Teoh Yi Chie đã ghé đến Việt Nam, Thank You So much !!!
When we see Judy your eye for beauty is obvious
Thanks for the tour and thanks for introducing your wife. Very beautiful! We have a large Vietnamese population in Orlando, Florida with a lot of Vietnamese restaurants. The noodle and chicken dish looks very familiar. we put fish sauce on it, which looked like what you were putting on your dish. I love the food served in the Vietnamese restaurants.
I love seeing different parts of the earth we all live on! Great video, thanks for sharing.
Hi Judy! Have a great trip you guys. Welcome back! ;)

Nice to meet your wife ! Your videos remember me my trip to Viet Nam with great pleasure, I loved this country. But it's true that it is difficult to film or photograph and to draw at the same time...And as we say in France : meilleur vœu de bonheur pour votre couple ! (best wish of happiness for your couple ).
+Isabelle CADE Thank you for your blessings 😊
You came Vietnam omg XD
Last week. 4-8 March 2017.
Hi Teoh. It's nice to see you having fun. Have you ever been to Taiwan? I had a lot of fun there last year even though we weren't there for long.
your wife is very nice. i pray you two be happy. i have question: what makes a place make it draw-able. That you think this is the scene that is good to draw.
Thanks. It's difficult to determine what makes a place/scene good to draw. I typically go for place/scene that show dimension, e.g. where the elements overlap, or there's perspective. For example, two person standing side by side is less interesting than many people overlapping each other, e.g. at the train station. Also instead of drawing the front of buildings, I would usually move to the side so that I can see two sides of the wall instead of just the front.
Teoh Yi Chie very helpful. So ur idea of two way perspective is also applicable to a street or a lake or restaurent. Thanx
Tech, your wife is beautiful. My thanks to her for putting up with the filming and intrusion. As an American I probably wouldn't enjoy a trip to Vietnam but you provided a very good look at it for me. Thanks. :)
