Three ways to play a Simple Groove on the Farmer Foot Drum

- A "behind the kick" look at three ways to play with a simple one-two groove on a Farmer Foot Drum (or any foot percussion). One man jam/funky groove, laid back minor blues, and Sweetpotato Slim boogie. The key that I've found is to keep the beat simple and on the beat while looking at your guitar as an extension of the percussion - use the guitar parts to add the syncopation and embellishments. Also, debuting my new Taylor K14CE Builders Edition acoustic played through a Fishman Loudbox mini charge. Comment and let me know which groove you like best!

You are more expert on it than I am yet Slim... I play bass with foot drums in Sussex England; I use a high hat and a bass drum that has a Roland kick drum trigger in it.
Awesome Mark! I’ll have to check you out. Just takes practice and we are all grasshoppers when it comes to foot percussion while playing stringed instruments!

TS Bluesone these are great because they fold into themselves. I bought a transport cover from Farmer Foot Drums that covers it and it has an opening where the handle is so it’s easy to carry and doesn’t get scratched up.
