EAS: Tornado Emergency in Holly Springs, MS

- A severe weather outbreak on December 23rd, 2015, spawned several tornadoes throughout the country. One of the many affected locations was the city of Holly Springs in Mississippi. Here the rare and always scary tornado emergency phrase was issued in the alert. Here is this message in EAS form.

On Christmas Eve Eve, and Christmas Day too. El Nino screwed up the weather that Christmas. It's supposed to be cold and snowy, not warm and tornadic.

And to think this tornado hit Holly Springs, MS just two days before Christmas. I can't imagine the amount of sadness and heartbreak that loomed over Holly Springs on Christmas morning.

2 or 3 dead from a large likely EF4-5 Mile wide wedge, that could have been a tornado family or a single long track tornado that was on ground two hours

If the Preliminary tornado track is correct, it will be the longest tracked tornado ever recorded in the month of December. Most estimates put on the ground for around 150~ miles or so. Beating the record before, which was set in Alabama on the same day in 1956. It was on the ground for 121.7 miles.
+Dossockies It was on the ground for 145 miles lifting outside of Selmer, TN and it was atleast a high end EF3 tornado. I honestly think it was stronger than that because pavement was ripped from a road when it was near Ashland I know that because NWS Memphis posted a pic on their Facebook page.
+Dossockies 10 people were killed by that tornado.

I was affected by this supercell in Ohio. We were under the tornado warning for 3 hours.
Impossible to be under a tornado warning for 3 hours unless tornadic supercells trained over your area.

Yes, and they can be violent. A particular stormy night is still fresh in my memory. On December 26, 2015, 12 confirmed tornadoes, three of which were EF2 or greater with 1 EF4 hit the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. 13 people were killed.
