Beth - winner of the RCN Foundation Needlemakers Impact Award 2024

Beth Almeida was awarded a grant towards an allergy MSc course. She is currently a Paediatric Asthma and Allergy Clinical Nurse Specialist, working in the largest allergy department in the country, treating over 5,000 patients a year.
When applying for a grant, Beth said: “I feel that I have a fundamental responsibility to pursue higher education within my specialty to provide my patients with the best evidenced-based practices and up-to-date care".
