For the gathering knot, instead of trying to hold everything with one hand and tie with the other, I use an elastic to hold everything tight. Then I do the knot over the elastic!

I just made mine 😊 thank you for the tutorial is very good. I would like to advice begginers to practice the basic knots doing some other projects and then came back to this one because there is a lot of information not clear (like the other side of everything) that you will realize once you get experience. So, I understand people get mad at the lack of details but this is not a beginner friendly tutorial. Something else, I don't know how the eyes are made from braid cord .how you brush that? I made the with other type that can be brushed. Good luck to everyone and don't give up! ❣️

Thank you for your comment. I am very appreciated your advices for beginners. The video has limited length so I could not put all the info in it but I am pretty sure beginners need to learn the basic knots before try the big project like this. For the eyes, you can untwist the braided cord as normal (a bit more works than single strand cord or twisted cord) than use brush to straight them out. Hope this information helps and have a lovely day!

This will be my third time trying to make this lil guy. 🦉😍 First two tries I didn’t understand a lot of knotting and construction but a few smaller owls and lots of mistakes and learning curves later I think I’m ready to try this one again. Such a cute little owl and a well put together tutorial. Thank you for teaching. 🙏🏻🥰
