- Big schools of sand eels brought bluefin and yellowfin tuna to the fishing grounds south of Block Island in big numbers in the summer of 2023. What kind of rods were those man they are impressive. I use a little larger gear with conventional reels with 40 pound line using penn reel and shimamo talevera rods which I recommend highly
