Great video going over the basics. I feel like I finally understand why I was always called for fouls at school!!

I was a shotputter on school teams in my teens and needed a tutorial to launch my comeback a half century later for senior Olympic competitions. The 10 step (6 basic and 4 power) teaching was excellent. The lean back low to high definitely generates more leg power. The twist is hard on my old back but I do try to rotate my whole body into the release after my linear shuffle across the ring. One of the best online videos for teaching students and reteaching senior athletes.

AHA! I _knew_ I was being taught wrongly!
I'm just a couple of days away from trialling for my middle school's Athletics competition, and I've found that this video is RATHER helpful! The technique we were to use was taught by an apparent former Commonwealth games competitor himself, but it felt so _wrong_ to a few other students and I. Now that I have the correct knowledge, I believe I hold the key to my success >:).
Thank you so much, now I have a few days to train myself in the proper ways of this sport!

It's a shame that you haven't made more videos, you break it down very well, love to see other areas like long distance, Javelin, long jump and high jump.

Thanks mate. Easy to follow instructions for coaching. Your mic cut out a bit , something to consider for later videos.

Your content is fantastic, mate. Pity you don't have more. Do you have any other links or websites etc?

I agree. I want to make more but need to think about using kids so need permissions etc which makes it a challenge.
I have playlists for public on my Chanel in multiple sports that I use to design sessions and teach children. Check them out, e.g. I have been teaching volleyball and basketball a lot and do private basketball coaching so there are lots on that.
What videos would you like to see?

@@thepecoach9145 Understood. I'm a reasonably new PE teacher, so I'm finding a lot of your teaching cues very useful and easy to get across to my students. I'll be sure to keep an eye on your play list. I know there are teachers back in the US that get around the parent permission (which of course is right to do) but having an APP or filter that blurs out the student's faces and bodies. Might be something to think about.
