Bishop St to Broadgate and the Lady Godiva Statue: Coventry City Centre Walking Tour

Another beautiful sunny summer morning in Coventry city centre. This walk starts off at the end of Bishop St. by the overhead bridge to the Canal Basin and heads to Broadgate finishing by the Lady Godiva statue. We head down Bishop St, cross Corporation St. with the Philip Larkin pub on the corner and go up The Burges and Cross Cheaping with the back of the Primark Store ahead of us. Then we head up Trinity St. past The Flying Standard Pub and Holy Trinity Church and then onto Broadgate. We do a 360 around Broadgate by the Cathedral Lanes.

What a lovely, hot day to go for a walk down Bishop Street to the City Centre.. Thank you so much, as always, thoroughly enjoyed it. Though I think I might have bumped my head on that Canal Basin overhead walkway!😘

Oh, you walked past the KFC, according to my lovely Muslim friends, the chicken are Halal. Always busy with loyal local Customers and the food & services are good too. Very hard working staffs, well done KFC 👍🏻✨🍗🍗🍗❤️🥰

Lady Godiva used to be a most central part of Broadgate, now, she seems an afterthought, relegated to proletariat walk byes.

poor Lady Godiva, no longer surrounded by green grass, now paved in by acres of horrible, soulless pedestrianisation.
