live from 2003. in Bordeaux, France. They were not very famous at that time, just in France and a bit in Europe. And they were young, joe is 22 here if i'm not mistaken. That's why there are some dudes on the stage, and why the live is a lot more brutal than now. They were more angry then. The link is my favorite album by Gojira because imo, unlike their other albums, every single song is a hit on that album.
Clone, Lizard Skin, Love, Satan is a Lawyer, Deliverance... Et perso, Magma ne m'a pas tant plu que ça, limite trop prévisible mais effectivement le plus accessible pour le coup
OG Gojira, right here! The first time I heard gojira was when my older brother was watching all the Link alive videos on youtube, back in 2008. I've been a fan ever since.
Yessssss!!! Another great reaction , keep it up bro. I laughed and loved that you pointed out mario wearing a shirt , your observations are on point !!!
If you like Gojira, I highly recommend 'Flying Whales', 'Toxic Garbage Island', 'The Heaviest Matter of the Universe' and 'Oroborus' For a different kind of metal: Avatarium - Moonhorse (best Doom Metal song I've ever heard)
Ok, I just added those songs to the reaction list! I'm not into Doom Metal, that is the kind of metal that is with low tuned guitars and with really slow bpm, isn't it?
It is, but Avatarium really gives it it's own twist in my opinion. They mix in different metal/music genres and they are definitely not as slow and low as most Doom Metal bands. This really sets them apart from the rest, I think.
thanx for the choice ( i voted for that one)"remembrance" is from their 2003 "The Link" album , and then , in 2005 came out their masterpiece "From Mars to Sirius" with tracks like .....well , all of them are just epic !!! "the heaviest matter of the universe" , "flying whales" , "backbones" , "from the sky" , "in the wilderness" are my favs , go dig in it man , and you'll be on a great journey !!!
If you want to hear Joe's best range of screaming you should def check out their live performance from Garorock 2009. I recommend The Art Of Dying because he hits the notes perfect but any other song is also great like The Heaviest Matter Of The Universe or Flying Wales
Even though the bass is buried in this, I’ll bet we’d notice pretty quickly if it was absent. As you know, Gojira’s music, lyrics, and vocals are meant to be complementary.. so I see the final portion of the song to be a representation of the dissolution of memory. Fun reaction!
I love your reaction... But, as a fan or someone that likes to watch reactions, the best and proper way to do a reaction... 1 - set up the band in the song to be heard or seen... 2 - play it through its entirety oh, not pausing every 10-20 seconds. Then after it's over oh, then you discuss give your opinion critique Etc... Just saying, as a fan it is so aggravating to watch people pause song and state the obvious every 10 minutes 20 seconds... So
Do you think so? To be honest I don't mind it so much as long as the comment is relevant or interesting (I know sometimes I don't do it that way) I think I just try to do it in my style but I'm also with some things that I've liked of other reactors like the Lost In Vegas guys, Chase Carneson, or Tank I will keep that in mind, tho

Whoa, they were very talented at that age, I'm guessing Mario is almost the same age as Joe
@@Temporal72 i was not sure so i checked wikipédia. Jo was actually 27 in 2003 and Mario was 22. They were wild.

Yeaaah the bass is fundamental in every musical genre!

I've already heard Stranded, amazing song, soon I will do more Gojira, and btw, I will do a special in honor of Gojira's new album when is out
@@Temporal72 Looking forward to it! 😁
I think the bass is coming through fine
Haha maybe it's just me and I like those low frequencies
Duuuude! Arent they fuckin sick!??
Gojira - The Way Of All Flesh (its a song with same name as the album)
Yeah haha they are, if I have the opportunity in the future to see them live I think I will have my neck broken next day 😅
