Update- I decided to try a half size down (size 6, my true size) and that has helped them fit better and have decided to keep them. I am wearing them with inserts for extra support.
What type/kind insert do you use?
@@dawnodunc right now I’m using a superfeet insoles but I like dr Scholls as well
For future buyers never get your non Rothy’s size (street size) in points, flats, original loafers(not almond) MJ, and squares becuase these shoes shrink 3 to 5 days after you take out the cardboard inserts and more over time especially if stored in the closet in a warmer place without the cardboard inserts or plastic adjustable shoe inserts (sold on Amazon). Rothy’s do not stretch after wear because they are made out of plastic bottles. I always store my Rothy’s with shoe inserts to prevent shrinkage in the long run becuase I have had some pairs shrink while stored in my closet during covid. I’m also in a warmer climate. I wear the same size as you do. 1/2 size up fit me in old and new points but I prefer 1 size up in points, flats, squares, MJ and original loafers. Most people go 1 to 1.5 size up in points and non almond loafer with average feet, add 1/2 size more with wider feet. Leave cardboard inserts out of new shoes for 1 week until they shrink. After they should feel slightly big but not sliding off the heel because they shrink more over time. If they feel tight new then they are too small. New points II fit the same as your old points so I suggest getting 1 size up in Points II. The only shoes that fit closer to non Rothy’s size is the new almond loafer, drivers, city sneaker, lace up/ RS02, boots, sandals, scuff slipper, Demi mule, and high top with average feet. Add 1/2 more for wide feet. For Original sneaker most go 1/2 size up because they fit narrow than city sneaker. Clogs most go 1 size down for average feet becuase they are way too big, or 1/2 down for wide feet. Remember if you try on the styles I mentioned that shrink in store and they fit, Rothy’s do not stretch they shrink especially the shoes without the rubber around the outside, so if they feel tight new then they are too small becuase they shrink more over time especially if not stored with the cardboard inserts or plastic adjustable shoe tree. Wait 3 to 5 days without cardboard inserts, then try on again before exchanging.
A perfect in-depth review! I think I'm sold. I've always wondered about Rothys and I'm just a ballet flat girl at heart. Thanks so much for being so helpful!
You’re so welcome! I’m so happy it helped 😀
Thanks for the comparison! It was nice to hear how they are/aren't fitting in your lifestyle at the moment.
Thank you for watching! I am glad it was helpful 😀
Thank you for such a detailed video! I am considering buying these and you really gave me a great look at the shoe.❤️
I’m so glad! Please let me know if I can answer any other questions about them!
Great info, I love my Rothy’s. I wear mine on repeat. They came to the hospital with me and I actually was able to shove my swollen feet into them post C section. 😅
Thanks! I was impressed I could still get the smaller ones on! What do you think of the changes?
@@Chicprofessor Well, I really like the higher vamp. Not a fan of toe cleavage. The ones I have are the round toe kind though.
@@Graceandherhandbag makes sense! I do wonder if people who preferred the round or square might be more likely to try these since the toe box is a bit wider.
@@Chicprofessor If I wasn’t worried about my feet looking too big in that style, it would definitely be a selling point.
Allbirds breezers are so comfortable… BUT… they aren’t nearly as durable and long lasting as Rothy’s. I replace my Breezers at least once a year, but u wear them almost daily
I agree with this!!
Helpful. Thanks. Ive been waiting for comparison videos.
I’m so glad it was helpful!
What a great review!
Thank you!
Great comparisons ❤😊
Thank you!
@@Chicprofessor your welcome
