Trains at: Milton Keynes Central, WCML, 12/09/16

- A brilliant afternoon/evening spent at Milton Keynes Central on the West Coast Mainline where we see plenty of services from Virgin Trains, London Midland and freight services from Freightliner, sadly no southern services were running during my time here.
There were delays all over the place today which made for fantastic viewing from my perspective, there was something strange happening with 390050 on platform 6 that still baffles me to this day, this is always going to be a station that I'm coming back to as there's always something happening here, also do keep a look out for a complete prat on platform 4, you know him when you see him just for my reaction alone.

I was there . I was not going to Birmingham in this date .I went there in 24th June 2015 . I was taking the 10 : 30 Virgin Trains service to Birmingham New Street from this station at platform 6 . It was calling at Milton Keynes central , rugby, coventry, Birmingham international and Birmingham New Street

Great Video at MK Central! :) Shame you didn't see Southern Services. Those Rail Unions are all about Militancy and Special Interests leaving passenger to pay the price for their belligerent and threatening behaviour.

Thanks very much :) I have no idea what was going on with that 390, I think she was just throwing her toys out of the pram for some reason. Probably just fancied a rest hahaha. From all accounts she reached her destination without any further issues

I love coming to Milton Keynes, the beauty of living 20 minutes away is that I can always get here to film should I not be able to get anywhere else

It could be related to that as trains had speed restrictions at Watford so it could have affected trains up at Milton Keynes
TheFreightDude 1000 Yeah that's what I was thinking, that caused chaos all over the WCML!
I've seen that security guard on platform 6 too, all he does is walk along the platform and checks the end of the platform for no reason, he should be on the concourse making sure no trouble happens.
He spent the entire time just wondering around aimlessly

The failed 390 would have been working the 16.03 Euston - Birmingham New Street and the one stuck behind would have been the 16.07 Euston - Liverpool Lime Street.

The starter signal on the London-bound fast line seems to turn to yellow (instead of red) from Green once the train passes it. It seldom turns red in the video. Is this common practice on the mainline railways?
This may be the colour affect that my camera has on the signals. But it was turning red once a train would pass through it
Well they must have got the mess cleaned up at Watford?
This was filmed a few days before the accident took place, the units involved have been moved to sidings at Watford Junction where I can only assume that they are going to be taken to Kings Heath for repairs

if 390016 wasn't schedueled to stop could she have gone through on platform 5 or not?
No it wouldn't go through platform 5 it would go through platform 6 for non stopping virgin services that go through Milton Keynes central
couldn't it have swiched points?
I think by the time they realised there was something wrong with the 390050, 390016 had already run past those points, so it couldn't switch
