Between 2003 and 2013 I had seven Christmas holidays Down Under. The details of which would bore all. But.....during my time in Aus, I heard so much music I'd never heard before. Most of it from the 80s.....and all of it from Antipodean bands. (Hunters And Collectors immediately spring to mind. And two amazing tracks from Noiseworks also stay with me to this day.) But one song sent shivers down my Pommie spine like no other. So, yeah, thank feck for those wonderful Aussie holidays......because, without them, I would never ever have discovered a wonderful track called That's When I Think Of You....
Yeah. Totally obscure in the UK. I seem to remember (and my memory could be way off), willing this into the charts, but it ran out of steam at about no. 45. I ranted at the stupidity of the record buying public... :( Absolute classic, along with most of Icehouse's album 'Man of Colours'.
@@theoryfish3491 I lost count at the number of times I banged my head on the wall (metaphorically!) when songs I thought were brilliant faltered in the charts. (The fail that, over all others, stays with me to this day is Like Flames by Berlin. Too different to the Top Gun 'anthem' You Take My Breath Away for the record-buying public I suppose.) Funny you should mention Man of Colours......the title track from that album was playing on my iPod the very final time I walked to the beach in Oz. Ten years ago last month, but I vividly remember it playing. (And remember having to stop it playing when some old dear on a road en route to the beach, taking her recycling bin back in, started talking to me! "It's a hot wind today, isn't it love?" Yes, it was a hot wind that day. But I didn't care.....I was lost in Icehouse and a determination to visit that beautiful beach for what I knew would be my last ever time.)
My two close friends who were back living in the UK. Often raved about Aussie bands after living there. I only heard one and they sounded a bit like 'Fischer Z'. Really good.
Rediscovered this on an old Top 25 International Chart tape from Radio Dimensione Suono in Rome, Italy. First, kudos to the radio station for getting this. Second, what a beautiful tune! Before looking them up, thought this was a side project of Icehouse. I did nail the Aussie factor. Again, gorgeous song.
que hace ese tipo tirando humo al minuto 5:00? mientras los demas tratan de sacarlo ventilando con maderas, el esta detras de ellos tirando humo.....ja ja ja!!!
I saw them live as a teenager. Such an amazing sound, mixed with amazing lyrics and intention.

Aussie music ,got to love it best in the world .
The guitarist is awesome, and the outcome solo is fantastic
iSH . . . one of the best albums ever produced in Oz, IMHO.
I agree! The Garry Frost songwriting combined with Eric Weideman's magic vocals made this a must-have album.
What a great song from a great band!
Finally got to see him live.. something I really wanted in life
Super music!!!!
Rediscovered this great song many years later. Can´t stop listening to it.

Gorgeous Erik Weideman Always I Think Of You Love This Sensation Song Great Voice ❤️❤️1927 🎸🎤❌🌶
AMAZING those were the days.
Great song. A big fan of the entire "...Ish" album.
1927 epitomises the Aussie “soft rock” genre.
My time in Australia the 80's love it 😍
The interplay between the band...the different personalities at play. The backstory is the icing on the cake.
What’s the backstory?
the backstory is about a time when he thinks of her. Obv.@@user-pw6uu5ui1j
Esta es la mejor prueba de que cuando los "aussies" quieren, PUEDEN... Una "joyita" eterna...
