My nightmare call as a land based arresting gear operator. Thankfully all the emergency arrestments I had were for wet decks and simple failures of breaks or other things. I remember trapping a prowler and they hit the gear so hard I thought everything was gonna blow apart.
Not that I know the incident but as she stated they didn’t land without their landing gear, but had to utilize emergency blowdown of their gears to force extend with a nitrogen/hydro fluid combination.
I just want to meet with the person who decided to make these subtitles bounce both up and down AND left and right, look them dead in the eye and ask: why?
