What Amy is saying makes perfect sense. At the end of the day, a woman needs to feel safe and secured. She desires to be lead properly. It’s easy to be blinded when you’re in love but at the end of the day, especially since they were close to getting married, Amy realized she needed a man who will lead and feel safe with and know that if something happened, that security is there. If a man isn’t providing that sense of safety then she will never be comfortable with him.
Not just being blinded when in love but when you have deep trauma that hasn’t been completely healed yet, can definitely make an individual ignore certain red flags, in my personal Opinion
I don’t think she can’t live in the moment like she said, I think it was the foundation he didn’t create for her. Like in order for her to live in the moment she had to feel like he could handle any and everything if she couldn’t and be able to support/have her back by creating a space for her to be worry free. For some women we need security in order for our submission to kick in and without that secure foundation we display masculine energy in a sense

I left my ex for literally the same reason Amy left Mazi. Cheating is NOT the end all be all in a relationship. We as women (most) crave stability, especially if we are stable by ourselves! So for our partner not to be responsible, stable, etc.. it causes a HUGE strain in the relationship and a lot of young black men don’t get it unfortunately

I’m a Scorpio ♏️ woman and I can see CLEARLY what this is…. All I’m going to say is I feel very, very sorry for her!!! God is going to show her, her own worst reality because she messed up a almost perfect LOVE ❤️…. She’s very heartbroken, with being honest about who she really is but as we all can see she feels like she will never reach his level of freeness. But she will get exactly what she’s looking for but unfortunately she will not ever receive that love he gave her! SAD.. But at least she’s honest with herself also she’s very blinded …. Even with the dynamic of the interviewer and his fiancé is Gods way of putting what she needs to learn right in front of her face and she still doesn’t get it. She’s telling the truth, she came in my dm cursing me out lol lol But it seems that she is protecting him because when they first broke up she went on live and she still has it save that he wasn’t taking care of his kids, wasn’t looking for them, and living a lavish lifestyle with her. She didn’t feel comfortable that the kids mothers would always reach out to her for help when he was making money as well. She said that she gave him different opportunities to step up and he didn’t. Also she show text messages of him saying he will change but he never did. So I definitely feel she is trying to defend him now which is understandable but there is much more deeper to the break up.

My 1st time seeing this channel/him. He interviewed well & asked/said a lot of things that I was thinking. Gave her a lot to think about. I also hope they get back together. Take a break, reset, & get it together...with each other. He showed/gave her a lot of LOVE genuinely (even through her own admission) which is very hard to find. Some things are fixable. He was her 80/20. No one's perfect.

This is a great conversation, very authentic, very transparent! Really enjoyed this convo! This is a lot of peoples reality on a daily basis. Loved the self-accountability! Jay was hella drunk tho, so it was a lil hard for him to articulate himself, also it’s ok to be empathetic during an interview just for consideration purposes, but don’t keep apologizing for questions or comments as long as your intentions are purely positive. Amy you have to create a balance between finances & love. Love isn’t enough & you can never have enough money. Freedom is such an illusion which is why maintaining a balance between everything is key.

Because as a woman it is hard to be the responsible one in the relationship with a carefree, financially irresponsible man. It’s kinda unattractive after a while like damn are you going to grow up or nah ?? Because how can we build together if we don’t have a shared mission.

This is the grown conversations I like and I’m just at 13:22 I agree with Amy’s mindset at this point in regards to proving to have the perfect relationship but at the same time .. let’s break the general curse of moving off of expectation. (In a negative way) You could be a transparent couple, tell others not to input and also the imperfect couple can show you a balance and show you how they maintain in their love while you show how to love hard etc. I did too idol the relationship but also wouldn’t mind the bad of it, sometimes you just need to be that vulnerable for others to know and see that you need help, some would hate but mostly that’s where the prayer comes in.
He said it perfectly, “it had to be something because you been knew that”. A lot of women like Amy and many other women who become successful though social media/relationship skits they forget who has helped build them up, that man has rode with you through everything. I love Amy because she is real and being real. I totally understand where she’s coming from. Mazi didn’t have any direction for the relationship/marriage and he was flying by the seat of his pants. Amy is me I can’t function like that and I have to have assurance and a plan of action. The way Mazi was functioning makes you shaky and uncomfortable as a woman in a relationship. It opened her eyes to other things about their relationship. She started seeing she was pulling the weight and Mazi moving irresponsible. I get it been in that situation. I too am single same reason. You can’t lead me. She is right. That means Mazi got work to do with himself before he is ready to be a husband and it ain’t nothing wrong with her having a question about it
I loved this interview. The realness and the vulnerability, i love Amy for that . The only thing I disagree on is basically you saying to deal with someone and their bringing toxicity in your life. There are really things that aren’t good for you that you can’t just look past. Especially if it’s going to alter your character as a person . I think that could’ve been touched on on your end because yes we can allow grace and nobody is perfect but if it’s unhealthy there has to be separation and the separation doesn’t have to be a “beef” between the two people so to speak but the person they are may not be for who you are at that present moment and you have to leave in order to grow and maybe possibly come back stronger.

Me and my husband had this same issue as to I'm strong headed an so is he! I wasn't happy, he wasn't happy but the love was unconditional. So we said let's try Therapy, no social media just us focusing on our relationship. An Therapy has truly helped!! I will say I support Amy’s decision and it’s none of my business but I will say something as good for thought. Financial literacy is a topic that tel short on the black community especially those in the south. It’s takes sometimes decades to learn this shit properly. Remember the difference in any in maxi is she is northern and he is southern. She is more adept to financial literacy than he is. It is going to take him a lot of learning and that is something that takes at least a decade. Her awareness was clearly there before his and his is barely budding. The only leniency I would suggest is the lack of financial literacy and both of theirs personal definition of success and abundance. What does it mean to each of you and what does it look like in each of your individual futures ?
